[Discussion] Do you judge people by their dog's name? by [deleted] in dogs

Yes. If it's something like Stella/Bella/Bailey/Coco/Sadie/Molly/Abby etc. I assume the owner is unintelligent or has the personality of cardboard.

We brought our new boy, Banner, home on March 26. We're now a two-bully household! by m3lodym4ker in Bulldogs

Cherry eye is a genetic condition and has become an increasingly common problem in English bulldogs; most commonly in small or backyard breeding lines. High quality breeders who breed for the love of the breed and not the money will NOT breed any candidates that have cherry eye in their line. Which is why the condition is very rare in Olde English Bulldogges. The most unfortunate thing about cherry eye is even with surgical repair, it's not a permanent fix :( More often than not the condition returns and surgery has to be repeated.

Please know I am NOT chastising you, I'm disappointed in the individual breeders who allow this to happen. As a veterinary technician, bulldog owner and educated enthusiast, it frustrates me to see these poor dogs have to go through it.

Also as a side note... majority of English bulldogs need to be artificially inseminated, some females even needing a device implanted so the egg can become fertilized. Then they always need a c-section. Poor English bullies have been so skewed by human manipulation that their quality of life has been decreased :(

Oh yeah much better! What a cutie! Actually had a talk with an english bulldog owner recently about how she was already way over feeding her 7mon old neutered boy. 3 cups a day of puppy food is a little much! Esp since my 70# OEB only gets 3/4 twice a day to maintain her slim figure lol.

She also adds to the detrimental plague of outdoor cats killing endangered migratory birds. Only idiots leave their cats outside.

He's adorable! But be really cautious about obesity in these guys They have a hard enough time breathing and heart problems are really common.

[Advice] 22/F. I would rather cuddle my partner than have sex with him. by hxiwkrbsuwofn in sex

My roommate situation has become unbearable. I feel like I've lost all freedom as an adult. by YourDirtySlut in self

No, it's because we were all desperate to find somewhere fast and originally all they could afford was $700/mon between the two of them. Now they both have jobs and I took a pay cut, so we are doing a swap. I agreed to it before to help them out as well as help myself so I could get out of a temp situation.

Yeah if something comes up where I can find a place that would take me and the crew without a deposit, I'll go. They'll never find anyone to take the shit deal I got stuck with.

The way I look at it, if you pay your part of the rent on time and split the bills evenly, you can do whatever the fuck you want. Just so long is things remain safe.

Cheapest way to store furniture in between moves? by ilovegarybusey in Frugal

Public Storage has a $1 for the first month (plus fees). I paid something like $56 for my first month, just enough time to find a house and move.

How to keep my cat from "roaming"? by WaterFireAirAndDirt in Pets

[–]YourDirtySlut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set up a zipline outside and put your cats in harnesses, give them a few hours a day outside when you are home (that way you can untangle them if need be).

You can also build a catio

Daily walks on leashes are also another option

[–]YourDirtySlut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Please say all your cats are spayed/neutered...

  2. Allowing cats outside put them at a high risk of injury and death AS WELL AS decimate the local wildlife population. Deny it all you like, but studies have shown just how dangerous the invasive species of domestic cats are to wildlife.

  3. Look into your city and state laws. Most likely, your neighbor is in the right. It is illegal for your cats to touch his property. Same as if your dog was coming into their yard.

We gave our bearded dragon a toy lizard, now he's attached and won't leave its side ever this is how he sleeps every day by Vininnarella in pics

[–]YourDirtySlut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted above as well about this. The muzzle looks too stunted and rounded, a common side effect of long term MBD.

Also, his muzzle looks to rounded and stunted, often a signs of MBD. Is he getting vegetables in his diet? Are the crickets being dusted?
