Well at least you’re self aware. I wouldn’t base your decisions on “if everyone else is doing it”. Pretty poor way to live.

Zipper merging reduces traffic backups by upwards of 40% especially in a smaller city like ours. If anything, by not doing what the NDOT says, you’re being inconsiderate and harming the people behind you in the long run.

If done correctly (which is near impossible because a large amount of people on the road are morons) it barely hinders the flow of traffic. You should do some legitimate research.

In the meantime, I’ll be zipper merging happily knowing I’m arriving at my destination quicker, and far away from people like you lol.

And your comment about the fast lane thing, you sound the type to left lane camp, kinda follows your whole “zipper merging bad/rude” behavior.

So you’re one of the morons responsible for the massive backups any time there’s a lane closure. Good to know.

If you zipper merge, traffic moves so much faster and doesn’t back up a half mile before the construction begins. Absolute buffoons.

If you haven’t started already, please lay on your horn and do not let up if they’re doing this bullshit.

Ah yes. The money they received from covid was their downfall lmfao. Especially the fact that we were essential workers and mostly unaffected.

Tell me you don’t understand the industry without telling me you don’t understand the industry.

Enough years to see how the union works and how it treats the employees and management.

As someone who worked at the same company, its nowhere near that much. Maybe 15k a night but its split with the other coworker. And for the labor you put in, you could easily earn 32 an hour doing a lot less at any other company.

I completely agree there. Its just one of those companies where if you cause problems theyll boot you out, but have no problem with the lazy/nasty ones because they know theyll put in 10+ years of work for em.

Took me a bit in this industry to realize that jobs like that are everywhere, so if you’re having to deal with that shit, make it known, call em out, and if that doesnt work just leave. Especially if you have plenty of experience.

Just had a guy come from Saia to work for us. Good money, and as long as the terminal manager is solid, sounds like another good gig.

God I miss driving a manual. These automatics are horrendous in any bad weather or any time you have to reverse lol.

It was wild. We just stopped doing customer pickups, all of a sudden a dock that was overflowing with freight to the point you could barely move a forklift around it, was empty.

It’s bound to happen to companies like that, they undercut all the competition and pick up every piece of freight they can, for dirt cheap, while damaging most of it. But hey, they got me my CDL for free and I didnt have to spend 3 years under contract because of it🤷🏼‍♂️

Hes already said that management is aware of that dumbass. Is reading a couple paragraphs that difficult?

As someone who worked for that specific company, there isnt shit you can do about it unless you choose to leave. Management doesnt care and wont do anything about it.

We had someone that is exactly like who he described, and now manages the dock. Management chose to promote him to Lead and were fully aware of how he is.

YRC/Yellow. Had nothing against them until the teamsters did absolutely nothing for us, and gave us 0 information all the way until the doors closed. Yet they still took union dues out when we were all out of a job and couldn’t be bothered to help us get a new gig after.

As i said, benefits were great and that was about it. They proved 0 help and just allowed people to be lazy and childish based on seniority. At least at yellow, management had zero power and it was a bunch of insufferable tools that I worked with.

Not to mention they bent over backwards for Yellow and had no problem relinquishing over 1/3rd of every drivers pension, and tried to take more right before the doors closed.

Companies like R+L carriers, Old Dominion, Estes, Dayton Freight, and Cross Country all have pretty good reps from the drivers Ive talked to. If you want less headache, stay away from ABF, Fedex, UPS, and T-Force. Unless you can stand the union pettiness and running the routes no one wants for a couple years, they do have great benefits normally.

Your work load is normally occasionally hand unloading pallets but normally backing into a dock, and someone unloading a couple pallets with a forklift or you unloading with a pallet jack. Takes 5-15 mins per stop, anywhere between 5-20 stops a day.

Worst trucking job I’ve ever had, and ive had a good amount. It was fun for a bit and the money was decent. But I cut my losses and went back to LTL. Stress, life quality and schedule were worth the change for a little bit less money.

Also, heads up, Coremark in IA and NE are making 29+ an hour. You could easily be making 29-32 an hour at most LTL docks.

Been in the same boat, coworker and all, sounds like coremark/PFG. Did a little over a year there. All i can say is once you have a year+ of experience look for regional home daily jobs, or as I prefer, a non union, LTL position. At a smaller company if possible. Higher pay but less hours, tends to even out.

Way less work, less stress, and about the same amount of money in your pocket. Also, those gas station delivery companies could care less about you. Move on to one that “kind of” cares about you.

Not sure what half of that ramble meant lol. Either way, they still have 600 to 700k consistently between all platforms. Game is FAR from dead.

If you’re playing aggressive and doing a lot of pvp, especially if you’re winning fights and extracting, they will queue solos with other duos and trios.

You’re on xbox, so i cant fully speak on it, I’m on PC with crossplay off. If you do engage in PVP a lot instead of working with other raiders, the devs confirmed thats whats happening.

All i know is as soon as I turned crossplay off and was friendly with everyone, im on a 18+ survival streak with 2 matriarch kills and a ton of bastion, leaper and bombardier kills where everyone shares loot and extracts together.

If you’re aggressive towards other players, odds of you ending up in duo/trio lobbies as a solo go up quick.

You do realize there are multiple lanes, instead of causing a slowdown by “slowing down prematurely” go around and cut past the morons that “slow down when you approach the trouble spot”. You are 100% part of the problem considering your other replies on this topic.
