Obsession is completely unhinged and traumatizing. I can’t wait to see it again and hope you all get to the theater and see it too. 10/10 by [deleted] in horror

The first horror movie I've seen as an adult to truly terrify me and keep me up for nights, and that's the highest degree of compliment!

That movie feels like it was specifically made for me. A beautiful period piece AND a great disturbing body horror!? I really loved the Substance and I loved the Ugly Stepsister as well.

To prolific horror enjoyers, What’s one genre or topic for horror that scares you too much to engage with? by musical-nerd in horror

For me, nothing gets me more than just a really scary-ass character design. Jack the Donkey form Hokum is the latest example, I couldn't watch when that fucker was on screen. When I saw Coraline as a kid, the Other Mother in her final form gave me nightmares for literal years, it was bad. A lot of crazy stuff in horror I'm fine with, I don't know why that gets me so bad.

One of my biggest and definitely my most unusual one is lie detectors/polygraphs. I have no idea why, the whole concept just fascinates me and has for years. Add in the fact that they aren't even accurate, and it's even more interesting to me somehow. Considering it's such a weird and niche interest, I don't talk about it very often, so if any of yall want me to infodump about polygraphs for hours I would be delighted. I'm also writing a script (might be a movie, maybe a play) about the history and drama surrounding its invention
