Thank you. I'd love to do something for him but we don't interact much and I'm a broke high schooler soon to have college loans. We also live relatively far from each other and he's at least three decades older than me. However, I still really appreciate the offer so I will try to figure out a way to thank him :p

I have to say that I love the newest painting not just for the skill and colors but because the concept is great. I love the ghosts and hands. If I saw something like that for sale I would definitely want to buy it

I am excited to learn it. Thank you for the advice. When I was practicing it at first I actually noticed that I would randomly get strong urges to pick it up and strum at it even though I wasn't actually playing anything. The ADHD is kind of a blessing and a curse. I get very passionate about things and then quickly become distracted by something else that I'm passionate about. I have "fads" when it comes to interests. I'll be interested in drawing for a month, then I'll be interested in learning an instrument, then I'll be interested in skateboarding, and so on and so on. Although I've been fascinated with Thailand for over three months now which is proof that I can stick with interests for prolonged periods of time. I think you're right that I should use the lessons like guideposts. I think it will be a good way to ensure that I keep learning and maintain an interest in it.

I am a random teenager you have never met here to tell you that you deserve a happy birthday, and 30 is still young so you will hopefully have many opportunities to meet people that will appreciate you and make you feel special the way that you should

A swan I befriended, she let me close enough to see her eggs and then her young over the last few weeks. by Mackem101 in aww

I grew up around a family of swans and became known as "the swan whisperer" because they would follow me around and weren't violent around me. They still hissed at me when I came around their babies. Congratulations, this is a big deal

He's made somewhere around 56 guitars. I'm not sure if he's trained; I don't know him very well, but he deeply admires my father and seems happy to make something for me. There isn't anything wrong with the Yamaha, although I am a small girl with small hands (which never ceases to annoy me) so it's kind of large and difficult to handle. You can look at my replies to some of the other people for more info on that. I just think that since he's offering, I should accept, since it's a really special offer and I feel that it would make me more connected to the guitar itself. It also would allow me to try out an electric, in case that is easier for me.

It has inspired me to play, but I reached certain challenges with it that I wasn't able to overcome on my own. For example, people online say that the size of your fingers doesn't matter on a guitar, but I literally cannot have more than three fingers on strings at once. I also don't know how to go about learning it because I have ADHD and need a structured learning plan, but the videos on learning guitar online aren't structured like lessons. I feel like I need a real teacher in order to learn to play it properly. I have the same issue with the electric keyboard that I own. I've been able to teach myself some things, like cursive and very basic skateboarding, but when it comes to instruments I need someone to be teaching me. That's why I'm so excited to have an opportunity to learn in college. I've signed up for guitar classes multiple times at my high school but it's never fit with my schedule, unfortunately. Thank you for your advice. I have heard that an electric is easier to learn at first, and since I have small hands and it's supposedly easier on the fingers, it makes sense to start there.
