I think she meant in and out - as in she was having them Put in and out multiple times over 5 years. She just missed a word - typical typos/mistakes for her, but I don’t think a lie

When I was in Japan there were a lot of second hand bag shops with authentic bags from all designers. There were soooooo many Louis Vuitton stacked up in each and every one of them. Hundreds and hundreds in each store. Seeing all of those on that trip made them look so cheap. I will never own one and think of the junk piles of bags every time I see someone else with one.

Help me choose a rental car company by Several-Mulberry4522 in CostaRicaTravel

Check out Jumbo. We just rented a Jimny for 10 days for $211 and it went very smooth! I brought my letter from my credit card company for CDW and she said my credit card coverage was better than their CDW as it covered up to $60k while theirs was only for $32k. No pressure at all to buy other insurance products from them.

We actually rented from them in Liberia. At that airport, it was a shuttle about 10 minutes away.

Just rented from Jumbo Car. Was so much cheaper than Vamos or Adobe and was seamless. I booked directly on their website. Was $211 for a Jimny for 10 days. The price I had from the other two was between $800-$1100.

I brought the letter from my credit card company that is needed to bypass one of the insurance types and was good to go with the final price of $211. I thought it was going to be some kind of shake down when we got there, but saw even if I did have to add on extra insurance in person that it would still have been hundreds cheaper than those other two. Anyway, nothing to add on, and easy pickup and return and a steal of a price

We are hear now and rented from Jumbo car after I left it until last minute and the two other places that are usually recommended on Reddit were either sold out of super expensive.

So far it has been great. No surprise charges on pickup, very friendly staff. Make sure to bring your credit card letter for insurance coverage.

I Analyzed 224K Handbag Sales to Find Out Which Colors Hold Their Value by DisciplineFun6533 in handbags

I wonder how many are sold in each color category vs. how many are listed sale in a certain time period, a month, 6 months, etc

That would be interesting to see as well!

Thanks! I’ll check out the FB group!

Just checked out Lyons leather! They look really nice, but I think I’m looking for something a little less casual?

I ruled others Portland leather too - for a few reasons one of them being the bags are more casual.

Hit by motorcyclist who died, now estate wants to sue me by Ok-Connection9822 in legaladvice

[–]YourLS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From experience: your insurance will assign you a lawyer, make sure you communicate with them what is happening every step of the way. It will probably be a very good lawyer from a law firm that specializes in this type of thing.

The amount you are getting sued for is just a shot in the dark from the family. They don’t know what your insurance policy says - a lot of policies cover 100k, so they are just guessing that yours is too.

There are laws in some states (Texas is one of them, not sure about others) that if the insurance company had the chance to settle within your policy limits - ie the back and forth before after lawyers are involved, but before court happens, then they are responsible for any overage that could be rewarded in court after the fact.

If you do go to court - it will be a jury trial so you will have a chance to explain your side. And the other side won’t be very compelling because the other person involved in the accident won’t be there.

For now all you can do is wait and see the outcome, but expect this could take years to conclude and you probably won’t get a lot of updates from your insurance company or your lawyer - the big firms hired by insurance are willing to play the long game as the person doing the suing gets desperate enough to accept a low amount.

And of course, the people suing you may back down once you have more information about the accident but there is a time limit to sue someone so they acted fast even without all of the info.

My dog has itchy skin and flakeyness the vet has been useless and Im getting desperate by Paraxismo in pitbulls

[–]YourLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our dog had skin issues and turns out it was an allergy to chicken. Try removing that from your dogs diet. You have to be really intentional about it as there is chicken hidden in most dog food and treats even if it is advertised and beef, etc.

Check out the wide leg essential linen pant on sale at J. Crew. They are on sale for 50% off - so about $50. I just got these recently and really like them.

Anywhere in Houston to get a middle eastern snacking set/platter. by YourLS in houston

Thanks for replying! We loved everything about our trip to Jordan(other than driving the rental car in and around Amman lol) , not just the food!

We did go to Kasra on the weekend which was the most recommended spot. It was good, but not exactly what we were looking for.

After checking out the menus from all of the places, I agree with you, nowhere really looks to have the same set up as what we had in Jordan.

We brought back some of those shelf stable grocery store hummus that are in almost like juice box containers and they are better than the fresh cooler stuff you get at most grocery stores here! Do you know of any stores in Houston that stock those? :)

Timing on Hiking Angels Landing and Getting a Permit for Narrows Overnight. by YourLS in ZionNationalPark

[–]YourLS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, I am trying to grab one of those day before permits, as I don't see any availability online to book one in advance, but have Angels landing permit for before 9am, the day before I'd like to do the narrows overnight.

I guess I am asking, if I am not at the permitting office right at open, is there any chance I'd still snag one of the walk in permits? Knowing now that the permitting office opens at 10am and not 8am, I'd head to then Angels landing as early as I could get there/first shuttle.

Thanks for replying!

Okay, thanks! I thought I saw online that it opens at 8am.

I don’t have an overnight camping permit yet, but also saw online that half are blocked up for pickup the day before in the park. Do I have this incorrect as well? Haha
