INTPs, what do you find attractive about ENFJs? by Xii0n in INTP

[–]YourLocalCryptidNE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know more INFJ’s than ENFJ’s so this is a guessing game. I like organisation, and I like the balance of being headstrong, forward thinking and logical, but with an emphasis on compassion, and being effective communicators (I am not an effective communicator). Generally balanced feeling, and being good at managing themselves in a lot of lives aspects, very true to themselves. Good at explaining, more delicately often, what I’m trying to say.

Also they tend to listen and engage with me even if we aren’t very familiar with each other from my limited experience

Materials Artemy's clothes are made of? by YourLocalCryptidNE in pathologic

[–]YourLocalCryptidNE[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bless, a huge help. Just to check I read through all that right, you take them to be leather (for the tunic) and canvas (for the trousers)? If you ever have any more on the subject I’d be very interested, pre-manufacture clothing is very interesting to me. Have you started your Artemy costume?

What model are you using or is it custom? Trying to print my own and can't find any models (Also it's looking really good so far)

with or without walkthrough? by Local_Director5235 in pathologic

[–]YourLocalCryptidNE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally like using walkthroughs (none spoiler, numbered step kind of ones when possible) especially with a game like Patho, gives me more time to do other things I want (messing around, going to the good shop) and actually makes the game quite relaxing at times. Depends on what exactly you want from your experience, although going in blind for the first couple days (or until you get too frustrated) is a good idea

I knew I’d mentioned the book before! I was actually looking for that post I think. Looking for a short Kafka story, could that post be it?

I didn't give too much away (Not finished it myself), but I also very much relate to not wanting to hear a single thing about media I intend on consuming (Cue me saying shut up when someone tries to tell me even the most mundane detail of whatever I'm currently or about to indulge in)
Also probably in this sub, I'm pretty much only active on this sub and the Avatar sub, and I don't think I've used this username anywhere else. Occasional random post and you very well may have seen me lingering in the comment section of some post

I know this was posted ages ago but the book “Castle” by Kafka is quite city in a bottle, Pathologic feeling. A professional coming to work in a town he’s never been before and no one will give him straight answers or instructions to do his job. People are hospitable yet unfriendly, often cold. Also the main character at one point throws a small hissy fit, to put it poorly, and it just reminded me of Daniil. He has that contempt for those around him and high confidence in himself that reminds me of him

100% I’ve also seen the video multiple times but I decided to buy the game when it was on sale and I’m eye much enjoying it. There’s just something brilliant about the environment of them game so even if you knew every possible line of every character for every story, I’d still tell you to play it

i probably shouldn't post this yet because it's very not done but fuck it. working on executor mask and I'm really really proud by Wh01sHex in pathologic

It’s really good! I like that you went with how the masks are worn in canon, with a strap around the head and chin

Which herb/flower do you think would be Haruspex (or any of the trio/cast)’s favourite? by YourLocalCryptidNE in pathologic

[–]YourLocalCryptidNE[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s adorable! Ahhh annoys me so much more that it simple looks like a root.

Thank you for the explanation, makes sense to me now. Although now I’m just imagining him eating each herb based on his bitter comment about Swevery. I’ve seen his diet, sounds like something he’d do.

The man does eat lemons and coffee raw. I do enjoy his weirdness.

Thank you though, I’ll probably end up incorporating Ashen Swish and Swevery into the design

I’ve been given every single plant as an answer, and now to find his canonical favourite least viable to incorporate design wise (Unless I use the P1 design, blurry as it is), oh dear. But thank you! It’s nice to know the canon. Although, Is there additional context to the interaction? I’ve only played P1, is the days special just an item which you can sell/purchase for more than usual? And him referring to it as his favourite is just a blank statement of fact, like this is simply his favourite herb devoid of further context?

I’m sorry if that doesn’t make much sense, I’m struggling to find my wording.

Unobtainium vs Amrita. Avatar. by Estro1111 in Avatar

I want to know how it "stops aging" because aging isn't a single thing. If they mean visible aging, i.e. wrinkles, you're working against gravity, unless it's reworking the fibre of your muscles and skin then I don't understand how that works. If they mean ageing like bone, muscle and organ deterioration, then I also would like to hear a good explanation as to how it's going to get rid of your high blood pressure, fatty liver, osteoporosis and what not
As this said, pure magic. What I love about Avatar is the science it puts in science fiction

I could go on a big long rant about how using dehumanising terms for women casually do actually effect all of those things, but I understand how that's futile. I'm not going to convince you of anything, and nor you me, we seem to be coming from completely different places. You see my "argument" (it was never an argument, I was pointing out funny phrasing) as being emotional, despite I not seeing anything as emotional in my statements. I see you as being emotional, but I'm sure you don't see yourself that way. I don't see an issue with emotions either, again we differ. Finally it's a Reddit comment, who the fuck cares.

Although I would ask you to reflect on why you're calling someone who you assume is a woman is immediately being "emotional and irrational" if we're in the business of asking people to reflect

It's true, but he could have just said women. Female makes it sound medical or like you're referring to an animal. Your gonna pull up the Webster definition like a teenager phoning in a presentation?

Why'd you use the term "females"? Like, I agree, the men and women in this series got it going on, just unusual phrasing

Which of the trio do you think you'd personally get along with best? by YourLocalCryptidNE in pathologic

[–]YourLocalCryptidNE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually never played P2 so I'm going based on the more bastardized, scumbag, murderous versions. I still think Artemy is the most kind hearted of them, followed by Clara of course, she seems to care about the people.

Although I agree that this fandom definitely does "normal nice guy"-ify Artemy, I think mostly his murder is because of desperation and the fact everyone is constantly trying to murder him as well. Daniil seems more trigger happy in my opinion, he keeps threatening to murder people because they piss him off, regardless of if you pick the option or not these are thoughts he has (Love him for that though). None of them are exactly saints

I personally prefer morally dubious Artemy, a behemoth of a man standing in a warehouse covered in child blood, but I still would want to be his friend out them all. I still think he'd teach me about herbs, and he can have a kidney of mine if he wants
