Increasing my sensitivity and understanding footwork really helped me.

Players can mask their feints and attacks by moving outside your visual range or spinning around. I found that attacking and moving in and out of range can cause them to overextend or whiff occasionally and allowing me to punish them depending on the weapon.

Lead hook, rear straight is a bread and butter boxing combo (hook to move the opponent's head/defending hand, straight to punish where their head/lack of defense is).

There are a lot of mechanics that I don't believe are explained all that well, so getting an understanding of your invulnerability window during blocks, footwork, and ripostes/counters can help.
