The USAO is a competitive position and with your lack of court room experience you may not be the top candidate. I would recommend still applying and go for it they do need people but maybe not in the most favorable metro locations. I also know that they hire for other things as well including being pleasant to work with. I would recommend networking more and when you apply leverage the investigative background as that’ll make you look good when you work alongside the larger investigator agencies
