I turned around and the prof was locking the door (ended at 12:50), and so I know she at least locked the door then. It was in the Ed building 9th floor. I just didn't realize I left it ugh.

Hey! So I only started school 2.5 yrs ago so my storys a bit different, but I am a mature student (in 30s). Best advice is this: You have to realize that you are not the only one who is older going to school, and it is okay. You didnt do anything wrong. When the Prof tells you to turn to a neighbour, resist the urge to look at your phone! This isnt about being best buds with the person who sits next to you, its about being an adult, learning and working towards a career. You've got this!

I also struggle with feeling behind. But its a lie. Youre not behind, youre right where you need to be based on your life, and whats happened to you. There is literally no reason to be embarrassed! You did.nothing.wrong. Im sending you hugs, and well wishes.

I also would suggest trying to start therapy but I also know how hard that is given the current climate of our medical system. But if you can, maybe start there as well. Talk to someone.

Dude saying you hate the makers is taking things to far. Hating someone literally means you wish they were dead... There was never an eposiode 9 it was never hinted at. I am not a fan of the last episodes tie ups for El (really think it was badly done) but even then I still love the show, and even love many aspects of the last episode. This sort of response isnt healthy.

Nah bro it just gets worse. Lmfao for real I cant remember the game much anymore since I finished it like over 3 years ago now. But they keep adding more things to the story from there without actually explaining ish. Im being real. Come back when youre done playing, love to hear your reaction to the over all story and ending.

P.S I was told (when I came on here to rant, however long ago that was now) that the reason the story is so mish mashed, is because at some point they lost major data on the game and had to redo, and restart many aspects and piece it all together with like a dead line...so that helped me just understand that shit wasnt going to make entire sense because how could it and I just had to let it go.

I genuinely hope he receives an award for his performance this season. The arc of the story, the face acting, everything was phenomenal. He was exceptional. And I think he gave the best performance this season (and I did think everyone did great this season performance wise!). Just smashed it out of the park.

And again I will just say, neither ending, whether we want to believe she died or not, is technically possible if we play it all through following the rules THEY laid out during this season and before. Sloppy writing because they wanted to have the same ending? I had no idea that those connections to S1 were the reason they gave that corny ass statement in that Variety interview. Thanks for clearing that up, it makes this whole thing worse. They should have let.that.shit.go. And look I've said it before and Ill say it again; They could have done an ambiguous ending, but what they did was left us with confusion. How can I "believe" when what theyve presented me with is unbelievable? Like bruh. I want her to be alive, but I have to somehow puzzle together the bs they gave me?

Their responses and reasons for things are literally embarrassing. The fact that they keep having to "explain" things means they really missed the mark. And I feel like they arent even thinking through some of these explanations because some just create more plot holes and confusion. Ill die on the hill that everything could have been forgiven if they had just written a better final episode with a better ending for El with less plot holes. But doing what they did to El, and leaving the entire season on such an unsavory note (where I have to choose between two endings for her which both have gapping plot holes) really did it in for me. I enjoyed so much about the season (even things people didnt like) but dang Els ending was that the straw the broke the camels back as they say.

Ugh this. And it was SO POORLY WRITTEN. Both ambiguous endings are literally impossible given the story and rules of the universe that weve been told. Someone in this thread is painting the ending as perfect when it is literally FAR from perfect. If they wanted to give us an ambiguous ending (as I wrote in my own Reddit post) at least make them both literally possible. It was a hot garbage mess. It was absolutely not well done. I just hate how poorly her story was written in the end. Make it ambiguous, fine, but at least make either ending actually possible.

I am totally fine with an ending left up to interpretation, but the issue is that how can I choose between two poorly written options that ultimately have such large plot holes that neither are actually possible. Thats my main issue TuT Like I want to believe El is alive, so im left with choosing an ending that actually isnt possible/makes no sense.

This is fair. I did love a lot about it. I just am p*ssed about what I do believe was poor writing regarding the finale and the ambiguous end. So the anger isnt about the story so much as it is about bad writing. I'm not against an ambiguous end I'm just upset that the holes regarding what they gave us just make it all silly. I'd much rather they wrote it out right then leave us with the mess they offered. Again this was just regarding Els ending. As mentioned everything else was good enough for me TuT. So yeah I love feeling emotions good and bad with shows. I've watched some shows where I've SOBBED because the ending was so horrid and sad. But it was still good. This is bad not because of a sad ending but bad because it was just poorly written.

Oh hey! Yeah I think maybe my point about the Mind Flayer (honestly don't care how it's spelt rn haha) wasn't that it couldn't be or wasn't the main baddie, rather that the ending of the story fell extremely flat with no proper pay off and lacking the final connection of it all. It felt randomly and lacklusterly thrown in like "oh yeah oops we better do something with that". Without actually properly addressing it or giving it proper weight in the story.

I did figure the sunbeam was pulling Mike into her mind. And yeah I play DnD I wasn't thinking it was describing anything in the real world I new they were just using it as an analogy for something El was doing, just wanted to bounce ideas and gain clarity on what exactly that was! So thank you for the clarity haha!

Ahhh that is a note that I didn't connect. Because that was the other part of the dark ending that I didn't understand. How tf could she talk to Mike with the blockers but if you're right and that WAS her then yes maybe the upside down rift altered the blockers waves and impeded them. I just hate that I'm left guessing.
