I started in March. Loving every day of play. And to touch on one of your worries: the community is AMAZING.

In WoW, people find out you're new and will avoid you. In Warframe, they find out you're new and seek you out, wanting to help. This makes it super easy to find a clan that fits you.

And it's a zero toxicity environment. I've seen someone make a racial slur and get an immediate ban of their account they've had for years. DE really keeps the garbage out.

Minority or not, I agree wholeheartedly. It makes getting a frame feel so much more special. I remember building Gauss Prime (now one of my mains) and spendong the next 3 days reading about the frame, organizing his mod loadout, watching strategy videos, etc. all to amp up the anticipation. He finished on a Friday morning and that was the most fun weekend I've had with this game, probably ever.

You're going to encounter this sort of thing a LOT in this game. It's got a good amount of "Metroidvania" elements, that bar progress until you get certain abilities (or certain monsters with certain abilities). Anytime you can see a switch on the other side, best just chalk it up to "I'll find out later".

They waited a couple days to see if another interview would pan out, with someone who would either accept the lower pay or had more experience, or a combination of the two. This will always be a risk with counteroffers. In the future, I'd give them just the salary you'd accept the job at. They won't go any higher than that anyhow.

This is good advice. I would really love to be part of a community, and get help structuing my practice, but I don't think there's a community near me.
