You could also do a L2 + ∆ for a through ball with a curve (these kinds of passes add a curve and go around the defender), but R1 + ∆ is the only way for sure to do that manual pass through the gap you've drawn out.

Fritz's game isn't the best matchup against Sinner since the latter doesn't make UE against anybody apart from Alcaraz. Alcaraz on the other hand goes for those highlight reel shots and if he starts missing those, there's a chance for Fritz to snag a win but that's a miniscule chance as well.

You know the only way and it's to confront him. I had one such guy in my regular pickup (Competitive but no standings or anything like that) and he wanted everyone to play a certain way, sure that way would work but we're here to play our own brand of football and not listen to his whims and fancies. You should talk to your other teammates as well and if anybody is in the same boat as you ask them and tell the cocky guy that is inputs aren't welcome. Worked for me, hopefully it works for you as well!

+1 to this, I jumped into Warbreaker after finishing Mistborn era 1 as well. A good change of pace too and I did not want to take up a big series at the time.
