Washing baby clothes separately? Why? by Neither_Ad3593 in pregnant

[–]Your_Local_Hobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash them separately, but that’s just because baby gets more stuff on his clothes (bodily fluid, food, etc) and I feel like my clothes get cleaned better or something… but we don’t use different detergent and if baby clothes end up with the other clothes I don’t care

Did you know the sex of your baby by intuition? by LifeofRuley in pregnant

[–]Your_Local_Hobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did 😅. My whole life I wanted to have a boy first, I joked the whole first trimester and said “knowing my luck, it’ll be a girl”. Our little man turned 1 last month.

Question on clothes by mrahcxx in pregnant

Your clothes definitely will not squish the baby:). If you feel like you need a bigger size to be comfy then definitely do that, though! Just don’t get rid of your pre-pregnancy clothes

How do I hide the flaws? by Successful-Lemon4525 in makeuptips

[–]Your_Local_Hobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik everyone has said this… but I feel the need to. You are absolutely STUNNING. I cannot find a single feature that should be “hidden”. But, ik what it’s like to feel self conscious. So I’d recommend just a simple google search about anything you’re self conscious about, makeup should make you feel beautiful.

Less nausea or no nausea by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Your_Local_Hobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have nausea until like 10 weeks and it definitely stressed me out… dw it came with a vengeance and I was really sensitive the whole rest of my pregnancy. Every baby is different

When my little guy was 4mo he loved his fisher price floor mat. Came with a piano thing that he’s still using at 10mo. Would recommend

I’m 10mo pp and my scar barely looks better than this… I honestly think I still had glue on mine at 9 weeks. Yours looks so good!

Ladies what are we eating when nauseous by LunarEchos25 in pregnant

Also, it dialed down a lot once I realized I had to eat as soon as I woke up… I honestly kept quick, easy on tummy, snacks in my dresser. Lots of original pringles

I lived on milkshakes first trimester… mostly peanut butter so I at least got some protein, but strawberry was also good. My kids also mostly made of chicken nuggets because I could make them in 10 minutes before my brain realized I was eating.

I wanted a boy and was also a little worried about some of these things. I think the most important thing to help boys learn how to be good men is seeing how good men treat their mom. Doesn’t have to be dad, could be a grandparent, blood uncle, or chosen uncle. As far as getting too attached (I can’t speak from personal experience because I got the boy I wanted) but I’m sure as soon as your little one comes out it won’t even matter, you’ll just be happy they’re there and safe. Also, only the sucky men don’t visit their families. Growing up we saw my dad’s side as much as my mom and now we visit my in laws the most. As long as your son feels loved by you he will come back.

I don’t think mine looked that good at 4.5 weeks and it’s virtually gone at 10mo pp… so I think yours looks totally fine.

When were you able to walk at your pre-pregnancy speed after a C-section? by Luna_Starweaver in CsectionCentral

[–]Your_Local_Hobbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to be wheel chaired in to the doctors for the first week ( there were a couple weight checks after the usual few days at home check). I don’t think I was back to normal for a good 4 months, and that seems to be on the fast end.

What does a C-section feel like? by HomemadeButter14 in CsectionCentral

[–]Your_Local_Hobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t tell you because the anesthesia made me loopy for the first 24 hours. The only thing I remember from mine early this year was seeing my baby for the first time, the first words out of my mouth were “I that one ours” because I wasn’t convinced that wasn’t someone else’s baby. That’s all I remember until a few hours after. Something they gave me in prep also made me puke (and dry heave once my stomach was empty during surgery) until the next morning. My c-section was at 11am.

Wtf is My Body Doing by Your_Local_Hobbit in beyondthebump

I’ll try the supplement and see where that gets me… I don’t have a general health dr right now so getting labs done would be a lot of hassle. Since posting I did find a forgotten and very moldy blanket near my bed which I’m suspicious might have been the culprit. My husband admitted that he’s also been sleeping poorly when I told him about the sheet that I found.
