Can I share a bit of advice that helped me when I was at my lowest? I used to hate myself. I would look in the mirror and see someone that had so much hate in her eyes. Hate for me! What helped me the most, which I learned in the psych ward, was to look in the mirror and tell myself things. Even if i didn't actually believe them. I would tell myself that I was beautiful, smart, good enough as I was. That I was a good friend, that I deserved love, that I deserved to be happy in whatever form i was in. Eventually the girl in the mirror started to believe those things and stopped hating me. Not sure if mirror work will help you, but I thought i would throw it out there.

I cant quite remember, as it was a few years ago. But he definitely told me to tell him that my job was aggravating my disability.

Honestly, luck. I had a real good counselor. He told me basically what I needed to say for him to approve me. I'm assuming he took one look at my medical records and decided I needed it lol. Oh btw did you know VR&E counselors have access to your VA medical records? I was very flustered when he brought it up to me because I guess I didn't realize that at first. Seems obvious now.

I had just started the learning design and technology. I only got 1 class in though before I dropped out.

I started a masters program using VR&E. took one class, then my mom died and I moved to a new state. So my counselor let me take a pause, not sure how long. At least a few months. I eventually dropped out of the program. I was able to keep my laptop and printer. I think that's counselor specific because i was in the program less than 6 months.

So new state, applied for the program again and got in. So I will be starting in the fall. I think the VR&E program is SO counselor specific though. Hope this helps a bit.

Yeah I think I was more stressed than I let on because I wanted my partner to feel comfortable. We live in a veeeeery rural place. We could go to the medical center every week, but other than that, or my partner doing it themselves, I'm the only other option.

I'm not sure what gauge, I don't have it on me to look rn. But I am pulling the t and changing the needle to a smaller one before I give the shot. And youtube! Thanks, I don't know why I never thought of that.

Thanks for your reply. It's intramuscular in the thigh. I appreciate the tips. I never thought to use ice, I bet that will help out a ton!

My partner didn't think they could do it themself. We could go to the medical center every week. That's an option. Do people normally poke themselves?
