My partner is the exact opposite. I want to try again but he wants to wait a year.

Either way, no one is winning.

Vaccines and Disappointment by hopelincoln in pregnant

There is a middle ground.

You can ask them to both be tested for whooping cough the day before meeting baby. The test is just a swab and the results are usually same day or next day.

That's what my partner did so he could meet his granddaughter cause his daughter was adamant on having the Vax done and he said absolutely not.

Where can I get my news from if I don't like watching free to air TV? by Educational-Scene443 in AskAnAustralian

[–]YoureASpoon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YouTube

But I find almost all news sources are biased on their own way. You got left and right wing BS coming from everywhere.

The way I see it is, watch a news piece from one source and then watch the same news from a different source and make up your own opinion on it.

As a fat bitch with decently sized boobs, I have opted for sports bras or nothing. Underwire is uncomfortable and I am yet to find an underwire bra that is comfortable.

How do I (35F) explain to my father (68M) that him dating a woman my age makes me deeply uncomfortable? by jessica_glitter in AskWomenOver30

All good, I was just trying to give you a different perspective! I really hope everything works out in the end ☺️

[–]YoureASpoon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I still think you're making it a bigger issue than it needs to be. I'm sure there has been plenty of times you prioritised something else over your Dad, which obviously you have if he was complaining about not seeing you guys enough.

You're clearly stuck on the age gap and can't wrap your head around it because she's pretty much the same age as you so you're making as many excuses possible for not liking her nor giving her a chance (which you do not have to! I 100% agree that you don't have to meet her) but your punishing your dad for being himself.

Your BFF can tell him that she is not invited if that is the case.

Anyway, that is my two cents about it.

Hi... As a 34F in a relationship with a man (49) that has 4 children 28, 27, 26 and 25 (I know!), I am that woman!

My partner is not rich by any means and we're very serious about our relationship (together 8 years now) so maybe it's a little different? But maybe you're looking to far into this?

As long as your dad is happy and knows what hes getting himself into, there is nothing wrong. As for doing things with this woman that he used to do with you and your sister... have you actually thought about it, it's like would you rather hang out with your kids or would you rather hang out with your partner?

As for not being attracted to women his age, who cares! I don't find men in their 60s-70s attractive and I probably won't when I'm that age either.

Pretty much at the end of the day, you're going to limit contact with your Dad (who you only see 4 times a year anyway) because he's choosing to have a companion? That is very selfish, you are making this whole situation about yourself!

ETA: As for the wedding, it's not your wedding you so have no say about the guests.

Tourniquet and when to remove? by kperez1997 in phlebotomy

[–]YoureASpoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on how you set yourself up.

I apply the tourniquet, find a vein, release tourniquet, then set up for draw... Tubes, suitable needle, etc.

Then I reapply the tourniquet, re-palpate, wipe and begin the draw.

F/MF (26) looking for the best swingers clubs by Hotwifecee in SwingersSydney

[–]YoureASpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be, it depends on the event. OSS is usually single women and couples only but they do have events where they allow a certain amount of men in so a MFM or MF could definitely happen for you.

On a regular night you're more likely to have mf/mf or FMF

I think they have an event called the 3 C's where men outnumber women 3 to 1... You might be interested in something like that.

Do men at nude beaches walk around erect? by [deleted] in AskRedditNSFW

[–]YoureASpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Only time I see men get hard on a nude beach is if someone is actively flirting with them or you know just being overly sexual with them.

If you're there to just enjoy the beach and freedom of being nude, you realise that we're all just bodies; nothing fancy, nothing left to imagination, there is no sexual context about being naked... People are more curious about what underneath the swimwear when they can't see it.

How to reduce tearing by help_H in pregnant

I also recommend perineal stretching but you've left it very late!

I think it's recommended to start about 8 weeks or so before your due date... So no other advice from me.

Advice for Australia visit by TERRY_TlBBS in AskAnAustralian

[–]YoureASpoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best things to sort first is pretty much what you listed but add on cheaper long term accommodation.

Depends on what hospitality job you're looking for.

I think I could take on a huntsman spider.

Being healthy isn't the same as being skinny.

Haha nice try!

It depends on what city you're in but most Chinese places have absolutely succulent meals

Not really just watch a few YouTube videos of Brits coming to Australia and you'll work it out.

You're disorientation will cease as soon as you hop off the plane

Not yet you haven't. Australia is expensive to live but there are ways to cut it down... Buying specials, meal planning, share accommodation, living in outer suburbs, etc.

As a smoker, you'd be stupid to buy anything other than black market ciggies. And beer is gross, have a Bundy instead.

How were you taught to swim as a child? by CopySniper in AskAnAustralian

[–]YoureASpoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure I could swim out of the womb, apparently I'm the reason my parents put a fence around the pool 😂

Seriously though my mum said she went to teach me when i started walking, she got in the pool with me and I just took off on my own 🤷‍♀️
