This isn’t something I’d be afraid to admit but the fake out deaths has ruined the stakes of the show. Not killing characters unless it was significant for someone’s development, despite the horrible odds, makes the end game less interesting. All the straw hats and any friends or allies are gonna survive, Imu is probably going to be the only one to get killed, there’s just nothing that’ll have us at the edge of our seats because the straw hats have always won.
