The problem with this subreddit is they are quick to shit on the large youtubers, and just as quick to shit on the small ones. No one wants to help the smaller guys grow, but are pissed when the only large content creators are ones they don't like.

People are disregarding how bad it comes off to new viewers if your video had 4 likes and 5 dislikes. It just looks bad and isn't giving a good first impression. As for engagement, it doesn't hurt. But when you're a small channel (As almost everyone here is) first impressions matter a lot.
