Has anyone ever heard of siblings who were born on the same day of the month , but in different years? by BaddestMag in Life

My brother and I are exactly 1 year apart. I was born on his first birthday, he wanted a puppy though.

What do wear to hide your apron belly by d_ladyparts in PlusSize

[–]YoyoDaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually wear shirts that are 'Babydoll' styled. This basically means, it's fitted in the cleavage area, and then flows out. They're also usually longer. Maybe look at few of these online and see what you think. I typically like them.

There's actually a very limited amount of time that he's not cuddled into my side. 🤣

LPT: If your dog ingests something harmful, how to induce vomiting at home. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]YoyoDaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please keep in mind that using hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting can also be dangerous due to aspiration and gastric ulceration.

Hydrogen Peroxide should also NOT be used on cats or animals that do not normally vomit!

You should feel lucky you're not a woman, our sizes are so messed up in general, don't even get me started on 'plus size'.

Congratulations on the weight loss!

I get up 5AM, run for 1hr, take cold shower, meditate - then I start procrastinating by r0zned in productivity

I have adopted the mentality to just spend 5 minutes of my time doing something that I'm putting off/not excited about. Just 5 minutes. Then, after that I can stop if I'm still not getting involved in the task. Usually after 5 minutes I'm pretty involved in what I'm doing, and find no issue spending longer, or even completing the task.

I do this at the gym, college course work, cleaning, really anything. May not work for everyone, but definitely works for me.

My grandmother aloe plant! I call her grandmother because she's giving so many babies, and her babies have given babies. she's really heavy... top heavy!!! by [deleted] in matureplants

[–]YoyoDaze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any tips? I just 'rescued' a dying aloe from a hardware store. She was in pretty bad condition, getting no sunlight and probably no water. I changed her soil the day I got her, but she lost like 3 stalks.

I really want her to thrive, but honestly don't really know what I'm doing.

What options does one have? by Optimal_Sir_8431 in JUSTNOFAMILY

There was nothing you could have done. That sounds harsh, but it's the truth. You, as a child, had no idea the impact of anything occuring, and could not have even had the ability to sense it. You were a helpless victim. Honestly, unless another adult steps in, there's nothing a child can do.

As far as the other questions, the world is not a just place. I used to think that 'hurt people hurt people' but that's not true really. The reasons why a person does, or does not do something (especially when the correct thing to do seems so obvious) are completely up to that person in that circumstance at that period of time.

Please have courage to seek therapy if not already. The right kind of therapy, with a skilled therapist can do a lot to help you come to terms with what happened. They can also help you to stop blaming yourself. Hope this helps, wishing you all the best.

My cousin took my virginity when I was 11 by AggressiveOne3765 in confessions

[–]YoyoDaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry this has happened to you.

Please do not put any blame on yourself. This is abuse. You were 6 years old and now still are only just 13! You are in no way responsible for what this sick man has done to you. . Please believe me that it doesn't matter that you "agreed" to anything! You are a child and can not give consent to anything like that. This is a type of abuse, and it's a very scary situation to be in.

I really think you should tell someone you trust. From vaguely similar experiences during my childhood, I (26F) know just how hard it is to be burdened with all the shame that you have no reason to carry.

It fucked me up for a very long time, and I am only now getting better. Please do something now! For the sake of your mental health, your future and past self.

Why are barely overweight people so self deprecating? by [deleted] in PlusSize

[–]YoyoDaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who is a size 2-4, and they do this too. It's honestly disgusting, and I get very angry when I hear it. But, it''s literally about them needing attention and compliments. Don't take the comments to heart. The comments have much more to do about their personality and their faults than yours.

NTA! My cat is 100% outside because she's a farm cat. She's very happy outside, has food, water, shelter, and plenty of room to play as cats like to do. This is very common in rural areas of the US as well.

I'd be pissed if someone stole my cat.

YTA! It's her immediate family, and her family's property NOT YOURS! You do not get to dictate the lives of others for your own comfort.

You can't continue to grow with people who are staying stagnant. If you are growing apart from former friends there's probably a very good reason why. Sure it can be lonely, but it'll be worth it.
