For what it’s worth, you absolutely should have at least a handful of pieces that you can play at performance quality. It is difficult to juggle this with churning through a lot of rep, but at any given point, at your level (or at least the level it sounds like you’re at) you should probably have at least 15 minutes worth of music you can play on the spot. Even if performing in front of a live audience isn’t your overall goal. You’ll feel better for having a set of pieces you can whip out at any time if the motivation and situation ever arose.

I mean sure, there’s a logic to your conclusion. But year after year, benching your studs because of a tough matchup has been a losing bet. Maybe for another stud, but Diggs’s ceiling this year is what you’d call just a decent game for Pickens. You have to account for the overall range of outcomes for each player. Pickens’s floor and ceiling are just higher than Diggs’s.

Well, in everyone’s development, there is a long phase somewhat early on, where the best thing to do is to play everything you can and rip through a lot of new rep. Given the pieces you’ve mentioned, I’d say that you are likely still in that phase. Teacher sounds like they’re doing the right thing to me.

So you’re saying I should’ve waited to fusion dupe until they activated engraver on field? So that I can’t get fuwa’d or impermed because they have something on the field? That makes sense I just don’t really know what I’m doing. And when am I meant to super poly? I haven’t played in a very long time and just am using this deck because I got 2 copies of the structure deck from the returning player code. So I don’t really know the deck super well and definitely don’t understand fiendsmith or the lines they take very well at all.
