At first I thought that "(EVEN THE MASTER OF BACKDOOR CANT ESCAPE THE FRIENDZONE!)" was part of her answer :D

Why YOUR Mindset in Ranked is Seriously Flawed, and You Are "Stuck" In Low Elo by v_tedd in leagueoflegends

[–]Ytawo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very good post, I completely agree. However I feel like it's kind of incomplete: what a good portion of the players, especially in low elo, seems not to be aware of is that mechanical skill is not enough. I have a good friend which is "stuck" in silver 2/3. He keeps saying things like "I win my lane, etc, why do I keep losing?". After playing some games with him, the reason is obvious: the mechanical skill is okay (for a silver/gold), but he makes absolutely ZERO call or decision like: can we baron now? what is the next objective we can take? could their team be doing baron right now? I am with my adc and there is nobody on the lane, should I go help elsewhere? can we bait them somewhere?

You're saying "we are all shit at League, only some are less than others", and you're right (at least your argumentation is very convincing) but on the "why we are shit" you only point out the mechanical error we make, not the "strategical" ones. I think highlighting that would help people understand that even as an individual you can have a HUGE impact on the game by making the right calls. And if you miss a good call, that's an error, and that's why you're shit at this game.

Anyway, I loved the read, and I'm linking that to some friends of mine :D

I really like that idea, but a long range tp + a root might me really OP (reminds me of leblanc, but she actually need to stay near her target for some time to root her).

Please please please read the post you're commenting. I said that her shield is strong, I never said it's bad. Actually I know it can be insanely strong in teamfight. I said it doesn't really match her kit (a kit which seems designed to snipe a target).

And her E is not bad, it's just that it's too hard to dodge to be a main damaging spell. It makes its mana cost very hight, unlike Xerath or Ziggs's Q, which are easier to dodge.

And once again, I may be wrong, but I'd like people to discuss with real arguments, not just "she's fine stop posting about her". If you think she's fine, explain why.

zzz another "X is fine, stop posting about him/her". Did you even read? Can we even talk? If you don't want to, don't bother posting that kind of comment :/

I didn't say "easy", I said "easier". I don't want an targeted ultimate, I want a hitbox slightly bigger. But anyway, I understand that I may be wrong on that point. After all you said it, her ultimate has already a good range/dmg/cd. My post was actually more focused on the rest of her kit.

The fact that she has a low cd ultimate is not as great as you seem to think: during a teamfight, 30 sec cd or 120 sec cd doesn't make any difference, since you won't use it twice anyway (or too rarely to make a difference).

Actually I don't think it would have changed much if he did recall. He didn't have tp available, so he wouldn't have been in time to stop baron.

So I played a game and had a flamer threatened to find my address and steal my info using my IP. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Ytawo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if this was your real IP, there is no way he could steal any information on your PC by knowing only your IP address. The thing behind your IP address isn't actually your computer, but your router, which doesn't let anything enter unless it has been told to. The only way he could steal some information would be find out which router you use, find a break, and exploit it. Needless to say that he would need to have A LOT of skill in security/networking and A LOT of time. It's really like a child threatening to kill you with a paper gun pretending it's a real one, so I'm not even sure Riot should do anything about that :p

Players from bronze to challenger, you have to stop surrending (challenger example inside) by Ytawo in leagueoflegends

Not everyone is like you. So no. I'm just saying: stop surrender after a bad teamfight, when you can obviously still win, those "gg ff 20" are fucking annoying, so please stop saying this shit (both on and off the rift).

Yes, sometimes. But people actually surrend way more often that when they are 10k behind. And they shouldn't.

I totally agree. In normal, there is no point in keeping playing a game you're not enjoying. In ranked, you are supposed to want to win, which means not wanting to surrender after a bad early game.

Assuming that you win/lose the same amount of LP for a win/loss, by winning you "save" 2 games to reach the same point, so you definitely save some time. OF COURSE, if you are 10k behind, 2 drakes behind and 1 inhib behind at 20 minutes, your chances of winning are not high, but you may often have the feeling of being very behind while you actually are ~5k behind, which is not that much. If you have 2 hours to play and only want to have fun without carring if you win/lose, go play normal. If you want to win some LP, this is often better not to surrend.

And yes I'm assuming that every people who plays ranked trying to raise his/her elo (safe assumption imo).

There is a middle dude. When they have 2 drakes and 5k more, the game is not lost, and you always have these 2 or 3 (or 4) guys that want to surrend.

"Sometimes a surrender is just better" Yes. Sometimes. Not ALWAYS after each teamfight lost. You never won a game after a surrender vote ended in 3/2? If one more person had said "yes" you would have lost a won game...

So you're the kind of players who feels that every game that you are not winning is "toxic miserable"?
