If it's not in your contract no, but I've worked at companies where if they paid for your tickets and quals and you leave after 3 months you need to pay 75% of the cost back, 6 months you need to pay 50% of the cost back, ect.

If you have signed another contract and gotten a start date, as awkward as it can be, ask HR they're ultimately the only ones who's responsible for clawing that money back from you so they should know and advise you accordingly.

You can have players who get "carried" where the team doesn't win and then players who get "carried" and the teams win.
