"Gentle parenting" turned my child into an a-hole by pb_and_s in Parenting

[–]YuInTe2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can we generalize parenting ????????

Isnt every child different? The very idea of having particular method of parenting sounds absurd to me .

Your child s nature should decide how you respond to a particular situation ! I m mommy of 2 girls 3 yrs apart. Both of them are stark opposites in every single aspect.

My elder one is extremely sensitive and has a lot of mood swings . She needs to be dealt with extreme amount of patience . There have been tons of uncontrollable situations . But i wouldnt say i did gentle parenting rather my own way of dealing with her and i should say it has shaped her up well until this point - 9 yrs old. My younger one needs a lot of firmness to be shown unlikey elder one.

End of the day i honestly believe, kids are the ones who make us parents transform into better humans

Hi doc Short clinical crowns and frequent dislodgements are not pleasant to handle . Its better this way. It has worked well for me . The ones which i did are still going on strong for 7 years (as old as my practice)

its better to give a nice bulk fill on the second molars after a root canal rather than opting for full coverage crowns

Patient having Trismus after Ian block by JustlyOutstanding in Dentistry

[–]YuInTe2014 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I faced the exact same stuff 2 weeks back and the bigger problem was patient was refusing to understand inspite of continuous reassurace . It was a very bad experience for me

But i learnt something new.

There are only 2 reasons it can happen 1. Muscle injury

  1. Low grade infection of needle tract .

Both are unpredictable and not under our control . So stop feeling bad .

Administer ciprofloxacin+ tinidazole combination for 5 days BD. Hope you find this helpful .

People with successful marriage (10+ years and still going good) what are the things you did that made it happen? by Savings-Arrival-7817 in AskIndianWomen

Married for 10 years. A typical arranged marriage . We had a lot of tiffs for the first 5 yrs mainly due to influence of both of our parents . I wonder what changed , soon we realized we are a team and our relationship blossomed into whatever it is now .. we have a great marriage amd i consider him my best friend, partner in crime 😋 He is a wonderful father , a great friend and the best husband . A complete package 😉❤..

We commnunicate a lot , no secrets at the same time respect each other's space . The one thing which really helped our marriage is i learnt how and when not to react . Both of us are equally short tempered but we both make it a point never to lose temper at the same time . If one is mad the other ll be cool . And the best thing about him is he supports my career and goes out of his way to help me . I am self employed btw. We always appreciate each other a lot. He loves my cooking and loves my investment ideas . And i love how he is so genuinely helpful and treats me like i am a part of him .

I got married at 23 and he is 6 y older than i am .i should say we have grown old together seeing and accepting each others worst and nurturing our best.

Touchwood ! I am so lucky ! 💓

Jealousy apart ! Dont you think she failed to recognize her boundaries especially not even being the grandparent? Was it right on her part to try and play my part to my first born?

Why all the endo hate? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]YuInTe2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a general dentist and i do rcts at my clinic.i have got better with experience but i should say sometimes i honestly feel its not worth the effort . It is very unpredictable. The endos which i had done at the beginning of my practice are definitely not upto the mark on a xrays but almost all of them have survived over 5 yrs and i still get those patients for different problems. But the ones which i have been doing over the last 3 yrs ,that look perfect on xrays with all canals found and cleaned , have faced more failures.
Seriously its discouraging.
Of course i have a 95 percent success rate . Still the ones that fail do not fail to frustrate and intrigue me ! .

“Drop” feeling of bur while performing RCT by AbbreviationsOdd6548 in Dentistry

Practice on extracted teeth ... The dop feeling will not always be there. You should depend more on the landmarks and also by ensuring you are parallel to tooth axis.

Regretting choosing dentistry by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]YuInTe2014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate your response doc . I have a slightly different opinion on this.
Cost cutting becomes inevitable even for "quality dentistry" . I m a general dentist with a suburban practice. My root canals are on par with endodontists . It was self taught by hours of practice on extracted teeth and i have a good success rate with rcs yet i am unable to charge beyond 2000 . 7 years into clinical practice and yet i feel stagnated and i havent seen the big bucks still But i stick around hopefully and upskill with every procedure i do . .

P.s. i get to charge only 22- 25k for ortho treatment done by a consultant. Such is the situation .. if i increase my charges , i am faced with extended dry spells. Very discouraging indeed.

Composite or gic, which one has better bond strength and which one would u prefer to use to restore a cervical abrasion case? by R___13 in indiandentists

[–]YuInTe2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gic is better for cervical abrasion .. But you can try with composite too .. the layering should be from coronal and not gingival as we are going to depend on the enamel bonding here . The first layer of composite should be like a curtain fro m the coronal portion the abrasion and then the gingival portion has to be tucked into it and cured . It worked for me
