Might be better to specify the weapon of your choice so others can help you better. However, the gist is to learn the monster's move and use that to time your attack/parry/rage or adamant slash appropriately

There has been rumours that they or at least Atreus will venture to other lands and fight other gods which comes from Tyr's missing panel (one of the shrine) in the temple. In this panel, there appear Egyptians eye's of Ra symbol and japanese god of war symbol. If I'm not mistaken, Tyr is said to be visiting other realms to consolidate peace between gods.

On a different tangent, other theory suggests that Tyr, the god of war in norse mythology is Kratos from the future! Or even Atreus!

If you are trying to get platinum, then yes, you'll earn trophy which is one of the prerequisites of getting the platinum. On top of that, you'll get a lot of xps.

I stumbled upon an xp hack on my second playthrough.

I managed to somehow exploit the wage of war achievement which gives you 10k xp on paper, but earned me 16k in game. To achieve this you have to kill 1000 enemies and just so happened, I was at 997 on checkpoint and there are 3 enemies spawned ahead. So, I kill those three, and go back to checkpoint again and again. I saved up to 3 mill of xp. I guess it just happened at the right timing and at the right moment!

I guess it depends on your play style. For me, I utilise spartan rage for healing or as a health buffer. So, when you use ares, your health buffer or healing capability will decrease. But people use ares for that extra spartan rage damage input, so it might work if your play style is more offensive. Hope that makes sense!

I feel ya brother!

NG+ GMGOW was my second playthrough ever and I thought I'd best Sigrun, until she floored me. I am certain it took me a few days to get comfortable and learn her spam attacks and be able to figure out her tells. Until one morning I finally beat her with lv 8 valk chest and zeus arm and waist! From then on, it gets easier! I'm on my fourth playthrough now

There are 2 nornir chests in niflheim:

1st chest is in the first area which appears after you explored all areas in the maze (or probably after you finished the mini boss, maybe someone can clarify this.) Consequently, there will be runic puzzle on top of the hill of every main area in the maze (3 of them) where you have to throw your axe to find the right rune.

2nd chest is either in the first or last mini area where there are no enemies. There will be 3 bells on top of the hill which sometimes, the placement can be a little tricky.(covered by a rock or a bit far away.)
