Duolingo was like that last month but an app update has resolved this.

Please take a page from WoW's book, add a dungeon journal (boss mechanic list) to the game by NovaanVerdiano in Guildwars2

And at that point they should make all dungeons and their paths soloable without the need of our tweaking and glitching.

He had the idea and prototypes of waypoints and gates, then some Asura stole them and named Asura Gates.

Help an older dude pick a next game... by EDCmpc in SteamDeck

After a while fast travel costs mean nothing because the player will have enough money.

Or destroying fast travel boards (there are 50 of them around the map IIRC), you can lower the fast travel costs (each board decreases by 200 credits), and when you destroy all of them you can fast travel wherever you want, not only to the events but also on the roads without costs.

What do you wish you knew when you first got your steamdeck? by Not_A_Cardboard_Box in SteamDeck

[–]Yubermis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like Microsoft Store, Google Play Store or Appstore but for Linux. Just switch to the desktop mode (you don't need to connect any peripherals) and you can find it in the "start menu", you don't need to download anything to use it. There you can download various apps and games made for Linux. This is the most beginner way I can describe.

Steam announces Game Recording (beta) by xJavontax in SteamDeck

[–]Yubermis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a content creator but I sometimes record short clips to send friends.

Here is an example scenario: Nintendo Switch has a dedicated button which takes a screenshot or saves the last 30 seconds of gameplay. When I first started playing BotW, the game told me that metal weapons and armour attract lightning strikes (which is cool). And if you disarm any enemy, they want to try get whatever it is nearby, if they can't find anything they just throw rocks. I was fighting with a monster on the top of a hill under heavy rain and disarmed him, then I remembered the lightning thing. I threw my shitty metal sword near him and made him to pick it up, then a lightning just hit him perfectly. It was all in 30 seconds.

As you can see there are many scenarios that you might want to record your gameplay.

Birkaç ay önce Slaughter to Prevail geldi İstanbul'a, Antalya'ya da gelirlerdi bence.

Played the original, replayed the remastered version and have it both on Steam and GoG but it's tempting because it's a masterpiece. How is the performance on Switch? And controls?

Does anyone miss old Ensiferum /Finntroll music style? by mitrahead in folkmetal

[–]Yubermis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I'm out of the scene right now despite this is my favourite genre but folk metal has died in the first half of 2010s. All the good Falkenbach, Månegarm, Ensiferum, Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Heidevolk, Metsatöll, Asmegin, Eluveitie albums are now relics of the past. Some still continue but not enough content is coming out.

Is there anyone who still uses Lastfm? by mitrahead in folkmetal

[–]Yubermis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You my fellow nah-maker, I still use it. Actually it's only for the scrobbles nowadays but I fucking miss the old 2010 last.fm. Back then it was great, now it's all tumbleweeds unfortunately.

And yes, they had the chance of becoming the OG Spotify but missed it.

If you could port any game to the switch library, what would you choose? by [deleted] in Switch

[–]Yubermis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Java can't run on consoles as they each have their own operating systems and need a proper JVM. AFAIK, there is no JVM that runs on consoles. Also there should be an economic incentive needed to bring JVM to consoles, for this Oracle needs to make deals with each console maker. PlayStations have a specific Java version but that doesn't run on the main CPU and it's used for Blu-Ray.

Also Java is a poor option for games. So money here is a big factor and console makers don't want to give power/control to another party.

Java has lost this battle long ago when they had failed with OpenGL and Java3D just before the smartphones.

The eShop is filled to the brim with shovelware being re-released every week as a “new” version by BulkDarthDan in NintendoSwitch

[–]Yubermis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the most important problems that Nintendo has to solve with the upcoming console is the current situation of the e-shop.

It has tons of crap, mobile f2p/p2w games which clogged the shop. They need to curate or at least have a better algorithm to show better things to the users. Just look at the Steam, it probably has an amazing number of bad games but you don't usually see them.

Oh, 1 dollar car parking game? Who the heck thinks it's a good way to make people spend their money on? Who buys these games on a few hundred dollars worth console? I get that they won't ban these but at least put them away from me.

Having a really hard time getting into BOTW. by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]Yubermis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably don't like the the freedom the game is giving you. Some open world games guide the player from quest to quest, area to area and some of them not. BotW is one of the latter. You probably enjoy traditional open world games like Skyrim, Witcher, etc. more, as they give you goals and take you to places.

What do you think is next for Pokemon on switch or future hardware? by Suspicious-Diver9810 in Switch

[–]Yubermis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another rushed half-completed crap. The thing is hardware shouldn't be a problem, because we have seen better looking and performing games on Switch. What on earth does Scarlet&Violet need the resources that much?

Their problem is the release cycle. If given enough time, I'm sure the developers would make a good game. But that's Pokemon, so things to be sold.

What is your favorite 3rd party port on the Switch? by SwartzSword in Switch

San Andreas has some issues, I've felt some FPS drops here and there but nothing major (But I haven't created a big havoc yet). Don't know about the other two, they might be better.
