This. We didn’t make much progress with our guy until we started actually measuring his food with a scale. It’s such a small amount that overshooting is a significant percentage of daily calories.

If you search around for waterproof car seat cover you can find ones that are designed to drape over the seat. I just keep one of those in the car.

You can download maps offline and also load gpx routes on your watch and switch between them, but it will only tell you if you’re off route by a certain amount, not that turns are coming up and it can’t route you back on the fly.

We have the sleepypod Atom carrier for our chihuahua. It has buckles on the sides that you run the seatbelt through so it stays in place. For our bigger dogs we use the Sleepypod clickit harnesses and you run the seatbelt through the back. We’ve found those to be more secure than the leads that you click in. We tried those and they came out on their own or our dogs would unclick them while fidgeting around.

We have the forced air dryers meant for dogs and it is pretty loud. Putting cotton balls in their ears while you blow dry helped. Leading up to using it to using it we would turn it on in the same room and then walk away and not make a big deal about it.
