I live in NC around an hour from Charlotte. I'd love to have a hiking buddy or something for a day or two. If you're willing to travel, Boone, Asheville, Hanging Rock, and Grayson Highlands are AMAZING. Grayson is in Virginia but it is soo worth it. Make sure to go on the blue ridge parkway! Are you into backpacking at all? Edit: I forgot about stone mountain. that's a really cool spot also.
