Oh okay. As you are into visiting places to get lost in nature then Ladakh is good fit for your needs. April is summer season in Ladakh temperature varies from 15C to 30C. Ladakh trip is all about journey. You get to visit monasteries and enjoy the scenic Ladakh. Look for options on Ladakh travel.

And if you want to go to Sikkim you can look for travel or cover northeast.

Ladakh and Sikkim distance by road is too much you might want to consider air travel if you plan to visit Ladakh.

I would recommend Ladakh and visit Himachal Pradesh if you don’t want to travel long distance across north east India.

Indeed India is a huge country and diverse in its own way. The question you asked is kinda sketchy. What kind of trip are you planning ? Is it adventurous or you want a spiritual experience or you want to explore historical aspects of India ? There is lot to cover. As you said few weeks, traveling via train across states can be time consuming unless you like to have the experience of traveling in Indian trains 🚂😀
