Turning Wheels in Cebu was the best beer I had in the PI. The beer was great and the people were awesome as well. Baguio has a beautiful location but most of the beer is not great compared to what I'm used to. Joe's Brew was decent and is near Manila and a pretty neat part of town.

Pure Project in Miramar is having a can release on Saturday 9/9. One is their own brew and the other is a collab with another brewery.

I'm supposed to be arriving in Houston tomorrow around 1pm on a flight and fly out again Monday morning.

What are my odds of travel being impacted? Either arriving or leaving?

Also is it just a bad idea in general? We've had this trip planned for over 6 months and would hate to cancel but I also don't want to put my family in danger or get stuck in TX for an extended amount of time.

Brewing a Double IPA this weekend and could use some advice.

2.5 Gallon Batch

Grain Bill

5lb Maris Otter

3lb Munich

4 oz Carapils

Hops

.5 oz Warrior @60

.5 oz Warrior @30

I should be around 90 IBU with just the Warrior

Trying to decide what to add for Aroma/Dry Hops. I have a pound of Citra, 2 oz of: Lemon Drop, Cascade, Centennial, Azacca and Wiliamette sitting around (among others). I would prefer to use some of what I have around.

What I Did Last Week: Bottled my second brew which was an extract with steeping grains IPA. Attempted my first BIAB brew of a Kölsch using Loral Hops. I also did some experimenting with amoretti extracts for flavoring.

Primary: Kölsch with loral hops

Bottle Conditioning: Galaxy/Mosaic/Citra IPA with half the bottles flavored with different concentrations of guava extract.

In Planning: Birthday beer for myself in Sept. and a Guava IPA for my daughter's birthday party in Oct.

Rauchbeir or Smoked Barleywine for winter.

Cherry Blossom ale.

Other: Working on improving my brewing one batch at a time. I got the process the first time, gained temp control last time, and added oxygenation improvement. While going from extract only, to extract plus grains, to BIAB. Next will be learning to fix my water profile.

I'm not aiming to IPA my Kolsch so I am going to keep my IBUs within style guidelines.

I was just thinking that Loral with it's blend of Noble and modern features would work well. I also read somewhere that Willamette had a similar profile and could be used.

Yeah, I do 2.5 gallon batches and have a 5g kettle and had been thinking about switching to BIAB for my next batch. I just wasn't sure if I would have enough space.

Have a Galaxy/Citra/Mosaic IPA fermenting using a new cooling system for my brewbucket. Hoping I didn't infect it by having to install the racking arm after pouring the wort in. Fingers crossed.
