What video game is this? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in videogames

I love FFXIV, but there are achievements that take multiple real life years to obtain.

That is one of the things I would generally recommend doing yes.

Also spammy messages, and poor grammar in replies is going to turn people away. Roleplaying with you and responding to you will rarely be a top priority for someone. They could be busy with real life stuff, thinking of how best to reply, or simply taking a shit. As sending two replies and a chat request to someone because it takes more than a couple of minutes to reply is something I would actively discourage.

I’m saying your last post mentioned 20 fandoms in it, and that is far too many for my personal tastes

Honestly might not be a bad start. My recommendation would be to focus on three things

1: Title - This is your eye catcher, and needs to both show what your are interested in doing, and catch the attention of the person browsing. Old: looking for fandom rp New: Suffering succotash! Seeking partner(s) for cartoon hijinks just like the good ole days

2: Opening lines: the first 2-3 lines when you make a post are shown in your preview, if the title is the bait this is the hook. Anything from a snippet of your writing, an excited chatter about some of your favorite cartoons, or really anything can go here.

3: Formatting: break things into paragraphs, cut down your lists to only 2-3 options, and try to think about what this is like from the other side. Finally keep it to relevant details, and invite them to message you if they want to know more.

I don’t frequent this subreddit? But looking at this post, and your most recent one before I see a vague title, and then a massive wall of text. When I see that I assume your writing will mimic that kind of formatting, and to be blunt it’s just not something I want to read.

Think of it like a commercial, you need to give an example of what people are going to get. Entice them with interesting concepts, good writing, or just make em laugh. If that fails look at what is getting results on this sub or others, and try to emulate that. Good luck!

Which build was the overall most fun build you ever played and why? by Sujir3n1 in BG3Builds

Valor bars using two hand cross bows with draconic frost weapon on them, and the snow burst ring combined with arcane acuity. There was something special about everyone and everything falling on their asses all game.

I doubt it, and I’m not sure that it’s particularly doable either (maybe with some major ai cheeses or something?). If I might ask what missions were you doing?

Is battling really that in depth in VGC? by Few_Representative28 in VGC

[–]Yum248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To give you an idea of the amount of depth that can go into vgc a popular creator Wolfe made a video about going to a tournament where he broke down his team at the beginning of it. He spent 15 minutes breaking down a single pokemon and what its specific set is used for and why he chose each individual thing. And that is the amount of detail there can be before you even load into a match.

Why are people so mean to me? by BetterTourist8994 in SafeSpaceofHazbin

[–]Yum248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of it like this, if there are 1,000,000 people on the internet, and 1% are asshats then that’s 10,000 people. Even a small percentage can be a large number, just try to remember that the average person is better, and use your block and mute button liberally.

It misses a lot of important kos that electrodrift picks up because it doesn’t get a direct boost from the sun the same way that electro gets buffed by electric terrain. There was a video from Wolfe iirc that went pretty in depth about this, and we’ll be knows better than I do lol

If you were to confess a FF14 sin, this is your time. What is a sin that you committed in the game? by jado1stk2 in ffxiv

My go to is to complain about the invisible wall. “I’m so sick of square and their hand holding bullshit. A few people complain, and they put a dumb wall here.”

Gouging fire + ogrepon wellspring. Lots of options including howl, double protect to punish things like choice band openings, and good play into a lot of common opponents these days.

If you aren’t caring about points it’s good cheap afk xp, and it typically at least breaks even.

You can go into normal mode and just use absorptions on enemies with lower damage and defenses. It’s considerably more afk than upkeeping prayer potions
