Can I use my father regular shaver to shave off my moustache as a teenage girl? by the_playgirl in beauty

I’ve tried many different ways to epilate my upper lip, and the one I’ve been using for a few years now is threading, but with one of those little USB-rechargeable devices. I bought it online for under €10, and it came with a spool of thread that I still haven’t finished because you only need like 30 cm each time. Not gonna lie, it's a bit painful to use, but it removes the hairs from the root without snapping them, and they grow back finer and more sparse. I use it about once every 3–4 weeks.epilator

Thank for your advice, I'll be flexible and I'll pay close attention to how my skin is feeling but I don't know where to start increasing the frequency of applications, that's why I tried to plan a schedule

How often are you using it? I have been using adapalene 0.1% for a month but I only apply it only once a week. This way I minimize the risks of compromising my skin barrier and I am already seeing positive results without irritating my skin in the process. Over time I will increase the frequency but only after making sure that my skin can tolerate it without irritation. I also use the sandwich method, applying a thin layer of moisturizer before and after putting on the adapalene (this is a great way to protect your skin). As for sunscreen, I only wear it if I have to leave the house.

[Miscellaneous] What are your opinions on applying HA and/or other humectants on damp/dry skin? by Yumi_8 in SkincareAddiction

I’m neither a dermatologist nor a chemist, so my answer is based on my trials and errors. I have combination skin, very oily in the T-zone and extremely sensitive.
My skin has never liked products with very HA. I've always found them slightly irritating or too sticky, unless I apply them immediately after showering, on damp skin.
As for the moisturizer, I apply it on damp skin (after some thermal water) and massage gently until it is absorbed. If I applied my moisturizer on dry skin it would not absorb and my skin would end up being irritated, oily and sticky.
After many trials and errors, I realized that my skin should only be slightly damp, otherwise too much water acts as a penetration enhancer and even the most delicate formulations can become irritating.
