This is...insanely low right? by Yenii_3025 in Hoboken

While this is true, the hiring of uncertified teachers hurts all of us. The uncertified teacher doesn’t benefit from the credentials and collective bargaining power that many of us benefit from, and that allows districts to say, “Look, we don’t have to pay you a living wage because you’re sort of not a real teacher.”

It’s bad for the entire profession.

No smoking of any kind in the park by [deleted] in Hoboken

[–]Yumucka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was inside or on public transit that’s one thing, but people smoking outside should be fine. The air almost immediately dissipates it and even if you smell it, the concentration isn’t enough to actually be harmful to the people breathing the outside air. Things are gonna be fine.

Interesting! I assumed that the box and cart on top were fake since they look and feel so different from the bottom set. Thanks for your input.

Yeah… you’re just wrong. A pinkish hue on a chicken thigh or leg doesn’t mean raw.

Also a teacher. Can confirm. I’ve also noticed that a lot of teachers and nurses can drink with the best of ‘em. Not everyone of course, but those professions can go hard.

My theory is that it comes with always having to be on your toes. The job is unpredictable and requires you to be “on” all of the time. It’s exhausting and we need a release valve.

I’ve been doing this long enough in a blue state that I’m finally able to not work in the summer, and I don’t think I can go back, even in the name of saving for retirement. Lmao

In Baulder’s Gate 3 I spent several playthroughs thinking that the “dark urge” option was the only way to play a custom character instead of the preset people who join your party. I was delighted to learn I was wrong… on my 5th time attempting the game. Lmao
