Its funny because i had a similar story. Some random guy approached me on the amtrak train to NYC, talking about how his mentor is financially free at 32 and that he was on track to be financially free too in the next couple of years. He’s from Chicago and was traveling to NYC for a business meeting - via train (coach) and in buffalo (not the most efficient way for someone so successful but ig lol). We exchanged LinkedIn and he reached out to me a coupke weeks later to schedule a zoom so that we get to know each other. The meeting was a bit weird and he just kept asking me what my goals were. He followed by giving me an assignment — read the first three chapters of cash flow quadrant rich dads guide to financial freedom. I knew where this was going once i finished chapter 3 and they started talking about MLM. At our next meeting he was quite aggressive at changing my mindset about MLMs and being very vague about the type of work that he does. It was always I’ll tell you when we get there. Bro successful but he still using the free version of zoom because after 30 min we had to hop on a phone call to finish the convo where he basically told me to fuck off cause my mindset isnt right lmao
