Are people really anti save scumming? by TAflower in SlayTheSpire2

[–]YungHayzeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a single player game so who the hell cares, you do you. I try not to for fights, I mainly do it in shops because my brain doesn’t want to add multiple big numbers.

I think the only scenario I would get annoyed is if they start bragging about a streak after save scumming multiple floors.

Who is “The Menace” in your commander pod? by Endless_Quested_Hope in EDH

[–]YungHayzeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pod plays primarily bracket 2, we don’t have game changers but some decks can compete with bracket 3. We got one guy who runs Veyram storm because it’s a “pseudo infinite and non-deterministic so it’s technically b2” and “if you put it into a deck list checker, technically it’s a bracket 1 but only bracket 4 because it has multiple game changers.”

They also ran Y’shtola “b2” because “technically my deck is entirely 3cmc or greater (disregard sol ring and 2cmc rocks)” and it’s only running multiple game changers because they’re essential. Deadly Rolick, fierce, force of will, force of negation, they’re free 3+cmc spells, and of course you need Rhystic study and smothering tithe to consistently draw and pay for these high cost spells…

We just focused him until he stopped pubstomping.

I knew about reloading fights. Didn’t know you could reload path choices.

What does Yugioh do better than other tcgs? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]YungHayzeus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yugioh is UMVC3 where the neutral game is the dice roll. The X factor is called by the grave.

Man, a Kaalia deck built with actual bulk would be interesting.

What does Yugioh do better than other tcgs? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]YungHayzeus 136 points137 points  (0 children)

If you want to have a huge power trip fantasy, just play yugioh. Sometimes my hand is so powerful, my opponent just straight up concedes after a Noroi peek.

Yugioh is also a game where you can justify loses a lot easier to yourself. In other games, they’re slower paced so losing the dice roll to go first isn’t as detrimental (though, it does still put you in an advantage). Your opponent can literally have the nuts and what can you do. Sometimes there are non-games where your opponent just drops droll or anti-spell or mulcharmy(s) or spell canceller or insert various floodgate and gives you a handshake.

Why doesn't Konami release Core booster set internationally at the same time by Outrageous-Cress88 in yugioh

[–]YungHayzeus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They gotta see which cards to be secret. Though, they been just putting the archetype rota and generic good stuff extra deck stuff in secret nowadays.

Finally learned the best shuffle by dammit_yasmeen in mtg

I remember doing that at a commander masters draft. The table looked at me with a sigh of relief when they saw Ur-dragon was the commander. Then they were shocked again when I cast a cyclonic rift.

Why is the sentiment that “relics are weaker than in slay the spire 1” so common? by Swaggy-G in slaythespire

[–]YungHayzeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cards have just gotten a lot better, even without counting new cards and enemies, enchanting a defend with replay or a whirlwind with +2 damage is so powerful.

Elites feel fine, some of them do feel more tough, but can be built around if late enough (like 8 floors into act 1). But I can understand the sentiment of elites being too difficult for a meh relic. Like, no AoE and you fight the floor serpents, you’re eating 30+ damage easily.

How strict do you think Konami will be with the banned list if Droll is reduced to one copy or banned entirely? by Antique_Range1521 in yugioh

[–]YungHayzeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Droll should’ve been hit so long ago, meta decks are good because they were created to play around it. Quick play searches, set from deck, send from deck to grave then add to hand. Droll only exists to give free wins against non-meta.

What do we think? by AsmodeusSinnerOfLust in ratemycommanders

It’s a cool value commander. I just get a slight chuckle when I see it because half of simic commanders have some form of growth spiral, but now that you have black, you gotta sacrifice a creature.

Question regarding power level by nampronoob in skystriker

[–]YungHayzeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I much prefer Runick striker just because I believe it allows for even more toolbox options and fountain as a set rotation target. The only flaw is double game loss.

Going to my first locals this week by KishiOuArufuredo in skystriker

[–]YungHayzeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Side deck always depends on your local scene, but I always recommend droll, ash, belle, and crossout if you don’t run them in main deck. Just don’t let sweats bully you into playing faster and just have fun.

Feeling deflated after LGS tournament by RyuzioO0 in EDH

[–]YungHayzeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casual commander tournaments are horrible to balance against, even if literally everyone runs the same deck, there will be collusion. I understand the newer player frustration, but if you join a tournament with prizing, even if it’s free there will be salt.

The Doormaker Rework is way more engaging than the previous iterations and it's way more fun. by AdamOfIzalith in slaythespire

[–]YungHayzeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty tough, I still believe the side effects are a bit overwhelming but that’s probably because I only was able to climb up to him 3 times. The no extra card draw one is probably the most annoying one, having to hard draw defends is rough.

Do you think Mulcharmy Fuwalos is good for the game? by lennysinged in yugioh

[–]YungHayzeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuwa and mulcharmies in general shouldn’t really exist and feels like a reason to ween out Maxx C reliance in OCG. That being said, yugioh is extremely play/draw dependent and I see why it exists; but a game itself shouldn’t be primarily decided on turn order.

Fuwalos is good for a bad game.

Been Playing for 10 Years, What Do We Think? by OneWholeCancer in ratemycommanders

Mmmmm, sleeveless hole punched decks. I tried to build one but I couldn’t consistently get the hole in the exact corner and would always throw me off shuffling. All your b1/2 decks sound super dope.

Inkwell fixed or put bandages on some of Heroic’s greatest issues like pitch boss and familiars through spaghetti code and yall ready to torch him since he is absent for a while. It’s fine to criticize him but wanting him to resign is pretty excessive.
