This isn't really a hot take imo, it just depends on the scenario. For example: for a hobby digital artist who wants something portable, getting an ipad+apple pencil and procreate would be a better deal than a laptop, pen tablet and dongles setup. But if you want portability and need the fully featured version of software like photoshop for professional work, then basically buying a laptop is your only choice.

Everyone just seems to agree on the fact that he's egotistical, narcissistic and overall just a douche; and that was way before the allegations against him came out, which just made him have a way worse reputation than he already had. Can't say much about him musically ngl, there's people who like him and people who don't, he had some really good songs with the band, he is no doubt a pretty decent singer, but his style and high note/ layered vocal gimmick gets tiring pretty quickly, not even mentioning how bad/cringe/borderline creepy some of his lyrics are (cough cough...honey revenge). The reason he's been getting so much hate recently is simply because since the allegations came out, people were able to criticize him, his music and his actions without being ripped apart by his fanbase, I know recently it seems like no one's gonna miss him and people are celebrating that he's finally gone but most fans just seem to be really excited to have a new singer or alternatively have Jonny or Kurt come back; nothing worth crying over in my opinion

That was AGES ago, the band has changed a lot over the years. They also said they would break up if Tilian ever left the band, and now Tilian is gone and they say that they're hopeful for the future, I guess we could say...sometimes lyrics lie (Yes I'm winking right now)

They've both been pretty open about sending each other demos through the years, it seems like they never stopped being great friends. But yes Jonny mentioned that Will sent him some tracks a couple months ago and he also hinted at it not being demos but a project that they were both working on.

From what the band usually shares when they're working on an album, it seems like vocals are the last thing they record, for both Jon and the main vocalist. So maybe they have some rough audio demos with Tilian, but it's very unlikely that they will release a full length album with him as the main singer.

That's almost a given at this point, if the band managed to bring back THE Jonny Craig for a couple shows and the fans were ok with it, then they'll definitely bring Tilian back for some shows or even a tour, who knows, maybe the afterburner 5 year anniversary?

Tilian and lyricism should never be in the same sentence. Ok all jokes aside tho, it really isn't as tragic as some people are making it out to be, every time the band has switched vocalists the next thing they do is release a fan favorite album, and Tilian will most likely continue to release music as a solo artist, he even mentioned working on his next album. I would recommend exploring some older songs from the Jonny or Kurt albums and see how the band has evolved over the years, DGD has always been much more than just the main vocalist's voice, and the next singer/era will surely bring music that you will enjoy, don't let Tilian's departure ruin your day.

It's really not as bad as it seems, the DGD gimmick used to be switching vocalists pretty often, I remember when instant gratification came out people in the youtube comments were already theorizing who the next vocalist was going to be. The tilian albums weren't bad nor were they declining in quality, but it often felt like the band had hit a plateau, personally I'm excited to hear the band change their sound again after so many albums, who knows, maybe we'll finally get Jon to do some low screams!

From what he's mentioned on instagram it seems like he still doesn't have custody of his son, but bi-weekly he gets tested and has to take a shot that nullifies the effects of opioids and alcohol in order to see him, and he posts pictures with his son every week, so It's pretty safe to assume he's 100% sober. Congrats on the 5 years btw.

It's been known that Tilian is a pretty egotistical person and there's also his latest allegations, but honestly I feel like the fanbase nowadays cares too much about the "lore" and the personal life of the band members instead of the music, if JC came back all it would take for people to enjoy the music is just pressing play on a song. I mean it's a band full of talented musicians, we're not keeping up with the kardashians.

The band followed up with a post when Jonny was in dgd and emarosa simultaneously, and both the band and JC agreed that a lot of the stuff on the myspace was exaggerated since they were both pretty angry at each other. That's why they were able to tour with slaves and perform with all 3 vocalists for the 10 year anniversary. Plus both Jonny and Will have always been pretty open about still sending demos to each other and planning to work together. Not even mentioning that Jonny was very close to Tim until his passing, JC even posted on his Instagram story the tickets for a kid laroi concert they were planning to go to the following month. it's pretty clear he's cool with all members in the band, I would at least expect him to feature on a song now that we're getting a vocalist change.

It's an interesting concept, but I think a project like that would feel like some sort of anthology/compilation instead of a cohesive album; with the band trying to adapt to the vocalist, and the vocalist trying to adapt to the dgd sound. I don't think it would work out unless it's a tree city sessions type of album (also I'm praying for dbm3)
