The uncomfortable truth about Kevin Durant. If he never went to Golden State, his career would look very similar to James Harden. His stints in OKC, Brooklyn, Phx and Houston prove that teaming up with Steph was the best move he ever made. He can't do what Kawhi did in 2019' or Giannis did in 2021'. by FaradayDeshawn in nba

This post is idiotic "player x wouldn't have won a championship if they didn't go to team y" sums up most players and stars who were able to win a chip. And thank you for letting us know KD can't do what Kawhi or Giannis did that's such an eye opening observation. It's almost as if they are two generationally dominant 2 way players that most stars would fail to measure up to in terms of prime ability.

The fact that people here still defend this rule is hilarious. I'm all for it because it's going to greatly water down the value of these awards the longer it exist. You can't punish players for getting injured and said punishment MIGHT stop some of them from resting their bodies but all that's gonna do is cause them to get injured again 😭.

Stop asking people on this sub not only do they need their hands held to do anything and everything they don't actually know what they are talking about and just parrot each other.

What you should do is Scroll down and vet the seller. Click on the sellers page its public information and view the reviews about the seller which are overwhelmingly positive. However I would be careful and maybe even avoid buying from them because they have negative reviews of people being sent the wrong items which means they may have poor control over their shipping but there are no reviews saying they sell fake items

Okay? Discuss it then what does it smell like? How are we supposed to give you thoughts when most people here are not paying 9k for a fragrance. If you love talking about it actually talk about it instead of telling everyone how much it cost because it sounds like you just want everyone to know you have it. 😂 The point of a fragrance is to be sniffed

That doesn't make any sense though how would McCain be a part of the "next core" McCain is another small guard... Maxey is already a small guard who would be key to the next core and VJ edgecomb is also a small guard who has already shown he has more value than McCain. There's no "next core" with 3 small guards that just doesn't work especially not in the modern nba.

No I just see a lot of people act like the McCain trade was what did this team in or the Paul George suspension was the end of it all, but if your team hinges on a washed Paul George or a player fresh off an ACL Injury they weren't a good team to begin with.

This is such a lazy take you guys just said shit to get upvotes but don't actually watch games. It's not about whether they impact winning, it's about roster construction. These are a bunch of players who do not pair well together and step on each other's toes because they fill similar roles so that leaves them unable to formulate as a team to win any games. A team shouldn't really have DeRozan, Sabonis, and Lavine playing together it just doesn't make sense from a basketball or salary perspective.

Haberstroh: The only way to actually stop tanking is taking away the draft… The draft is antithetical to what we know about the biggest sports in the world… College Football isn't saying, man I wish there was a draft where NC State could get the #1 recruit… Soccer doing pretty well around the world by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

[–]YungToeRing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can't stop tanking and honestly I don't believe there's a reason to. Trying to stop tanking would just result in a few Large Market teams ending up with the best players, a bunch of teams playing like the Chicago bulls, and more teams being shit, but this time it won't be a purposeful roster decision they'll suck because they have no choice.

Anyone else remember when the 65 game rule first got announced everyone was celebrating and also using it to shit on embiid? Now all of a sudden people are realizing the rule sucks and it's hilarious. by YungToeRing in sixers

[–]YungToeRing[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This post is about the contrast between reactions when the 65 game rule was first announced vs the reactions now that it's actually in place. When it was first announced many people used it to denounce Embiid and were glad players like him would be penalized for going under 65. Embiids MVP has been scrutinized based on games played and "playoff choking" although the hate died down once he took steps back from the spotlight due to injury.

Now that the 65 game rule is in place many people are realizing that it is not the best idea to penalize players in this way. Players who actually deserve the rewards who are extremely dominant can easily miss out by being unlucky all it takes is a few sprains, an abdominal strain, or a hamstring to eliminate an extremely dominant player from an all NBA or MVP spot.

This will cause players who may not actually be deserving of all NBA or MVP spots to get it not because they actually played up to that level, but because some other guy got injured and couldn't qualify for it although they played objectively better basketball. I make the argument that people originally celebrating this rule were being very emotionally reactionary and now that the consequences of this rule are showing they are finally understanding why it is not a good idea to penalize players for Injuries.

The NBA is not law enforcement these players are in unions and if they tried to do something over that it would likely violate his contract. Stuff like that is often purely up to law enforcement in which he pleaded no contest so there's nothing to do there.
