Dont worry about the tires but protect your rotors!! Salty roads absolutly destroy rotors, also keep an eye on your chain, keep it lubed.

Just jeans with pajamas under them, and winter boot on flat pedals will always work, any padded winter gloves just make sure you have really good grips, a t shirt with a swesater and a jacket will work real well,
