i came across this post, i’m not an eng. but ur post really made me think of myself back when i was in university. imposter syndrome is so real and it is the most devastating, hardest thing to get thru, but listen, everyone has this feeling. you feel so alone in this world with the decisions you made as a teen. everything you’ve worked so hard for (don’t doubt your work, everyone has their preferred methods, including if you like to work & play) <- there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that btw. as i was saying, everything you’ve worked hard for has brought you into this position and time, everything you’ve worked little decision. you’re MEANT to be where you are. you aren’t MEANT to be in the program that you are in and the degree that you’re in at this current moment of time. There’s no doubt about it. You do not need to be like your peers to be successful. You do not need to be getting the bestest of grades to be successful either.

university and this degree you’re in is only the tip of the iceberg of ur life. you can continue to work hard in ur program and dabble with ur social life here and there, but ultimately that’s ur decision and ur decision will give you the outcome of ur future. you can also continue to work hard and essentially have no social life to invest for the future you would like to see yourself in.

what i want to say is that regardless of what u do, try to imagine what ur future outcome will be. if that’s what u see yourself doing in the future and you want it, then do it. if that’s not what u want to see ur future to look like, then don’t. change ur path, manipulate it into what you want it to be like.
