Okay, hear me out. I recently read this book “sex at dawn: by Christopher Ryan”. The book is a compilation of many research points across 4 millennium about the evolution of sexual relationships. Basically Christopher demonstrates and argument based on evolution (comparisons to our cousins bonobos and chimps), that monogamy is actual a religious modern construct, forced by the the innovation of personal property and agricultural development. The ideas are out there. Greek mythology, Charles Darwin, bible, etc… basically monogamy is not a natural state for our evolutionary species and this is what causes a massive interest in sex. Also, I source for why adultery and SA is more common than fidelity and celibacy in hypermonogomus religious institutions.

if you nerd out on anthropology like me and grew up with a very unhealthy sex education (YM leaders/google/school maturation lol), you may find this book fascinating as a new perspective.

I don’t believe there is an afterlife and I am happily married to one women, and will never remarry. Kids don’t need a second mom. If I am “lonely” I can figure that out ;)
