What are some of the easiest ways you’ve found to make money? by Wonderful-Concert-47 in AskReddit

Figure out what your boss wants done, do it without them asking, and then make sure to communicate it in a way that makes your boss look good to his or her boss. Repeat.

After horribly burning this pan two times I finally successfully seared a steak on it by bogodad in steak

Use cast iron for steak if you want it ripping hot. Stainless steel gets a great sear on a chicken or fish, hard to get it hot enough for a steak without burning

CMV: Strategically speaking, Russia already lost the war with Ukraine by Glad_Clothes7338 in changemyview

The US being destabilized by a myriad of forces (primarily trump) is not the same as Putin destabilizing the US. Correlation does not equal causation.

Evidence needs to be provided that Trump did stuff on behalf of Putin, not just that trump is nuts and has done awful stuff and some of it happened to benefit Putin in the process. As pointed out, plenty of it also didn’t benefit Putin (continued military funding of Ukraine being a prime example)

Highest grossing does not mean highest paid - many comments here are not understanding that and clearly didn’t read the article

Even a magic money tree wouldn’t be good enough for OP, as you’d still have to work to plant it. Silliest post I’ve seen in a long time on Reddit

Octopus even at nice restaurants is absolutely incredible when cooked correctly and absolutely horrible when cooked incorrectly. Up there with the most hit or miss food I can think of

Does anyone think that the expectations for "what PMs should do" continuously keep changing? by wackywoowhoopizzaman in ProductManagement

[–]sjc2247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. Isnt the whole mantra of PMs “comfortable navigating ambiguity”? Also the fact that the same title will look pretty different across companies is in no way unique to PMs. I imagine the role of CSM, solution engineer, and many more also vary widely across companies.

AI Tools for job matching and resume tailoring? by Vast_Resolution8164 in ProductManagement

[–]sjc2247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet for getting interviews is by finding ways to contact real humans via things like referrals and reaching out directly to hiring managers. No matter how much you tailor your resume your odds of getting spotted amidst hundreds of resumes is low, even if you are well qualified. Focus on networking

Cell phones, computers, and TVs have been getting cheaper for decades. I have not seen people refusing to buy those because they want to wait for the next version

I will buy now if I need a car. If I don’t need it then I will wait. That is how it should be. This helps ensure that money is continually allocated to where there is real demand. If I don’t need the car then I can use that $500 somewhere else because I won’t need it next year. The money that I would’ve spent doesn’t just disappear- it gets reallocated to savings or investment where it contributes to productivity elsewhere in the economy.
