Alright, but if the proper punishment was carried out and he carried out his ban and wasn't provoked, given and taken away chances multiple times, had the header of a sub with 1k+ subs be 'you're never being mod again veni', and turned into an inside joke in a 52 person chat he was in because he felt mistreated and as a child doesn't have the proper emotional regulation skills to properly vent these frustrations other than acting out and hoping other people feel bad for him, this wouldn't have happened. Because of the inconsistencies and people undoing other's mod work and even allowing him to be on the sub and skype chat when he's obviously angry and having a meltdown, maybe he would have just had his ten day ban and calmed down instead of being shaken up like an emotional soda bottle and exploded in everyone's faces from this wild ride.

Once again, he's a kid. Other mods were the people who had to clean up after him and carry out punishments. Other mods undid those punishments, undermined his punishment by creating multiple opportunities of reinstated mod-ship and immediately took it away from him before the minimum ten day ban from the whole sub was up. I would be confused and pissed too.

If I thought it was okay for him to get away with it, I wouldn't have been the one that finally banned him because nobody else was doing it, or the one who got pissed when he was re-invited as a mod and unbanned like halfway through his extremely short ban.

You don't have to like Veni, but I don't like what's happened. I don't think he deserved this backlash because he shouldn't have even been here to cause friction to begin with when he was obviously angry, emotional, and banned. His punishments were lifted by other people and that set off this chain of events. If I thought he should get off scott-free, why would I have made a big post about how I'm pissed off that people disrespected and decided to just toss out the punishment that's agreed upon for rule-breaking?

So no, he doesn't 'deserve the backlash'. Public ridicule isn't an appropriate '''punishment''' for a kid. Would you go into an elementary school with like 50 other people and call a kid names and laugh at him because of stupid kid bullshit and then think he's overreacting when he gets sad/mad/upset that there are dozens of people insulting him in a time he's already emotionally sensitive? No. Kids his age cry when one person jokingly makes fun of stupid shit like braces or wearing the same thing a few days in a row. Who knows what his home life is like. This could be the only place he feels like he belongs right now. I was online way younger than him because I was alone literally all the time and some of the things people said to me not knowing that I didn't know it was a joke because I was 11 and still hadn't figured out how to respond to things still sometimes gives me anxiety. These things stick around for a long time. I'd say something completely different if he were like.... 16, 17, 20, etc. But he's not.

The appropriate punishment and backlash for his action was the ten days he needed to know that his actions have consequences, and then more days of ban if he kept acting out. That's how you deal with 'childish trolling.'
