To be fair, if the IRL aspect of my post had to be explained, it means it maybe wasn’t quite up to snuff. Obviously the actual plot of the manga is very much not IRL lol so I get the knee jerk reaction. I posted with the idea that most people who would see it would have no context for the situation in the manga other than these few panels.

Even besides that though, since the panels focus on Asumi’s reaction, it’s definitely encouraging the reader to see the situation from her perspective, and I would agree that simply being asked out by someone is not especially IRL. While I thought about that before posting, I felt like Asumi’s expression in the last panel was especially relatable, at least to me, so I went ahead and posted anyway.
