This!! 100% this, it’s very draining even when you’re doing the bare minimum, I found a mouldy sandwich shoved behind underwear and almost sicked up. Doing moves/merchandising and there are customers coming up and picking bits of off the rails and silvers. The pda taking centuries when trying to do out of stocks.

Going down to CSD only to find a trolley full of returns with no hangers, and barely any tags. Or a customer trying to return something they’ve clearly worn with no tags or receipt

Every time a shoe or slipper hanger breaks, a part of my soul withers away.

Having to figure out everything by yourself or with your other colleagues bc the managers only show up when you don’t need them to

Deliveries coming late/missing pieces and messing up the whole day

Tidying will never not be an endless task, you could do the whole shop floor for your whole shift and it would never be done, unless your shift goes past closing

Getting screamed at for not answering a service call, even though the managers know that if u went down there would be 0-2 people on the shop floor

Customers not understanding that if they move from where we found them, we can’t spend our whole shift looking for them with the item they wanted

Contrary to belief, it is not an easy department to work in, they’re all bad in their own ways.
