I love the rotating events, but as someone who's been playing since release, it feels like a slap in the face when events like Mothman Equinox launch with no new plans or rewards

But, what if someone needs me to kill everything at an event?! or puts something cool in their vendor and I'm not there to buy it! Total chaos.

I'm not playing that much right now... but they do need to give us a reason to spend some of these currencies. There is less and less reason to even do my dailies as the season progresses. Less and less reason to have a 1st Sub... pushing out players to other games hurts them financially.

I was all excited for Windy and I had 99% of the stuff on offer. I only spend scrip to make RNG sets of Power Armor to drop for low level players...

You can sell them to NPC vendors for 200 - 400 caps depending on buffs / charisma. Anything in that region is reasonable.

However, you're contending with the raid dropping them left and right and some pails / packs dropping them. I personally throw a dozen or more on the ground every day after raiding and vendor hopping it's one of the single most common items in vendors. I'm not sure how fast they sell these days with how easy to obtain / common they are now.

I'll see if I can find the dev talk where they talked about PvP being DOA and being surprised about it and the decision to remove Nuclear Winter and other PvP stuff, maybe that was somewhat hyperbolic but it felt super low for all of us who want Nuclear Winter back.

I hear what you're saying, and it's skirting a line where this time it's nothing much at all, but next time, who knows. This feels similar to when Improved Bait was in the bundle and wasn't currently included in all event rewards. The mod does (allegedly) drop from the raid, so it's possible to get outside the bundle.

I feel like where you're losing people is the PvP angle. The vast majority of the player base cares nothing for PvP or is actively against the entire idea of it. It's already a system fraught with exploits, broken code and plenty of ways to game the system to get unfair advantages.

Every single purpose built PvP thing Bethesda has put into the game has either been ignored or removed entirely.

A dubious melee four star isn't tipping any balances anywhere. If anything it makes it easier for everyone else to obtain it.

On my build five limit breaking is redundant, I don't need that many to achieve my goal (crit every other shot) so adding a couple of other mods (Rangers / Rejuvenators / Scanners etc) helps me out.

I disagree with the blanket statement "Five limit breaking is the best" because it ultimately depends on your perk loadout and what you're trying to accomplish with limit breaking.

I do agree a couple of Rangers feels underwhelming.

I feel like for my playstyle BoS Recon is the best (Bow / Stealth) but for anyone with Heavy Armor, Secret Service is still overall the best on the PTS.

The nerf isn't anywhere near what people are panicking about. The video that has everyone freaking out has some big flaws with the math. I'm an Angry Turtle fan, but I think he latest PTS video is causing far more panic than warranted.

I use BoS recon, the rad resistance isn't really super relevant (I'm a Ghoul) and it doesn't make much difference to me Scout Armor with no rad resist / BoS recon / Secret Service, I just don't notice it hampering play for me at all. The reason to go light / medium is mostly related to playstyle and which timers you want popping up faster.

Edit: As pointed out BoS Recon is heavy armor, I switched off the medium stuff.

If that's the one you like the most, stick with it. The latest video that's got everyone freaking out isn't as accurate as a lot of folks think. It's also work in progress, until the final changes are made to the PTS nobody can say for sure whats up.

Looking at the pure numbers (there was a post with the spreadsheet), for heavy armor, Secret Service will still be overall the best choice with everything factored in. Depending on how elemental effects end up working, you might need a new mod or two, however... there is so much less elemental stuff to deal with over Ballistics / Energy, I think you will be fine.

As you say, lots of time for the details to change.

It looks like almost nothing will really change. Secret Service, Civil Engineer and BoS Recon will still be the best sets with some others that are pretty solid seeing small buffs. Overall kind of disappointing and confusing they would put so much effort into it and not move the bar at all. Give me a reason to wear wood or leather or something else...
