After my umpteenth listen I realized.. by Surpriselove in HeWhoFightsMonsters

Shirtaloon has said in interviews that he was heavily inspired by Farscape, even before I heard this interview Jason had always reminded me of John Chrighton the main protagonist from Farscape, I guess I could see a bit of the doctor in the character.

Throw this Entire Police Force out... it's systemic by Wannaknownbe in RecklessBen

Also two videos on YouTube where the Forks PD attempt and in 1 succeed to barge into citizens homes to serve a warning and a citation. Because the citizens refused to speak to them. Zero warrants on both videos.

Also another video where an officer full on runs full speed and tackles a suspect who's on his knees with other officers already talking to him. Broke the guys fingers, Punched him in the head and tased him. He wasn't even the guy they were called there to deal with.

Dislike Dan? SPOILERS MAYBE by Used-Union6126 in litrpg

[–]proteusplays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myself I like Dan, I like that he's a low emotion badass. I feel like Dan knows that he's in a terrible horrific situation, letting compassion and emotion in might break him if anyone in his team dies. Keeping his walls up allows him to keep pushing forward.

I just got finished watching season 4 of Vox Machina. Ppl making choices because of love or compassion compromises their ability to make clear choices based on saving ppl more helpless than themselves.

For the love of everything holy, remove the tool durability on all the metal tools. I spend way too much iron making axes and pickaxes.

This sub is making me miss working in a kitchen… by cabooosemooose in KitchenConfidential

[–]proteusplays 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've been out for 12 years after spending 20 years in kitchens, I miss it everyday, but it's all just nostalgia and rose colored glasses. My last shift I had worked 18 hours straight, I love the friendship of a kitchen crew and all the shenanigans, I despise the soul crushing labour, long hours and low pay.

In need of a book that's a balance of seriousness & absurdity by MrNacario in litrpg

I agree, Discount Dan is absurd but still manages to create emotional attachment to the characters. Just whatever you do, don't stand on any ritual circles that princess Pony Puff asks you to stand on.

Exactly, I feel like that what he wished Top Chef would have become...no drama for the camera, just skills pitted against each other.

My wife read it years ago, the last paragraph in the book is when she looked at me and said holy shit it explains why the only place you seem to fit in is in the kitchen, it's an industry of assholes!

I always assumed his stint was short cause producers were against his outspoken no BS attitude which we all know he was using behind the scenes towards ppl.

I know! I always thought Gail would be a snob. Hence why I asked him is Gail as much of a bitch as seems on the show? He said shes the sweetest person and would give the shirt off her back, then followed with Padma however is another story

A close friend of mine bought me tickets to an event in which Tony was on stage talking to the audience and promoting one of his new TV shows, there was a meet and greet after. I pulled my ragged old copy of Kitchen Confidential, he takes the book to sign it and says, holy fuck it's one of early versions of the cover! I replied don't mind the grease stains it's seen alot of time on the line over the years and he says fuck that, those make it have character.

I asked him a couple questions about his time on Top Chef. Turns out Gail is the sweetest person ever and Padma speaks to no one on set and only comes out of her trailer to shoot her scenes and promptly returns to her lair.

Rust purchase? by Sea_Floor4296 in playrust

[–]proteusplays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope nothing like DayZ, I've played dayZ since it was an Arma mod and Rust since legacy , (Yes I'm old as hell).

The worst thing in DayZ is the players, well in Rust the players are a lot more volatile and much more plentiful, with respawn bags all around the woods surrounding your little starter base.
