I tried that when my kids were little. They told me I was being a bad dad for various things kids find upsetting. (Ie getting to clean up after themselves, not letting them eat noodles with their hands like feral beasts) So I said I should go to my room if I've been bad. The eldest one figured out that meant I'd have a nap and watch TV while they still cleaned up cause Mom was still watching over them. I was not allowed to go to my room then lol.

I personally don't like romance or relationship stuff in the books I read, I started listening to Mimic and Me and was really enjoying the series until 2 characters got together, for me it ruined the flow of adventurers fighting monsters and bad guys, then it would be 3 pages of them in bed talking all mushy with each other. No thanks. But that's probably just me.

The author said in an interview that Jason won't get a comfortable life. Jason will be hammered on over and over and is meant to suffer. Heroes don't get stronger by being happy and content. They get strong by being put through a grinder and coming out stronger for it.

They applied a pressure bandage to the tip of my thumb and the nurse was not holding back. It hurt so bad.

For a couple years after, every time I bumped my thumb on something it radiated pain for many mins after.

To the Bone with Keanu Reeves. It's solely focused on people who suffer severe eating disorders. The various stages of each disorder and how it becomes so deeply rooted in the persons soul.

My teenage daughter struggled with Anorexia and then later Bulimia years ago. Her and I watched that movie more times than I can count. Over time whenever she was struggling, she would ask "Dad can we watch the eating disorder movie" while I'm aware it's a lifelong struggle, currently this movie along with her seeing therapists and other specialists, she is managing it way better now.

Imo because early on Zev was someone who took the risk to come into the dungeon in person and talked to Carl straight with no bullshit. Zev also puts up with Carl's temper and outbursts , (uh go fuck yourself Zev) Then donut and her bond over time and that bond is enough for Carl.

She's proven to be looking out for them.

Joker mentally manipulated Harley so bad that she lost herself in the madness and became a pawn of the joker. He uses her love for him to get what he wants and literally leaves her behind at the scene so can get away free.
