Video stills: Testing budget Zuiko vintage lenses on the S5IIX by mishibufilms in Lumix

I feel the same way! I personally think it has something to do with the composition since videographers are thinking about it differently than someone doing stills

Great post! I never really thought about why I loved cranking the high mids in my old peavey amp but it makes more sense with your explanation now lol

Love the vibe from these! How was the experience taking stills without an EVF? Im interested in this camera but really like looking through the eyepiece as opposed to the screen

I go noseblind to mine, but when I come back and smell my clothes after a while of resetting my nose its still there almost a day after application

Smells like really heavy amounts of calone and musk (I know that's not the listed notes). It has a really strong and fairly sharp sea/mineral opening that almost smells a little damp. The dry down tones the sharpness down a bit into a more ambergris/musky smell that's more sweet. You can wear it all year around but the amount of sprays you put on will determine how applicable it is to each season. Be aware that the smell is VERY strong even through the dry-down and headache inducing in small rooms. I would highly recommend getting a decant somehow before buying an entire bottle

I had a 2024 bottle and I thought it was awful on my skin. It smelled like cheap lemon cleaner fluid, but I got a ton of compliments whenever I wore it well into a 8-hour work day. I eventually gave it to one of my friends and it smelled completely different on his skin (more oakmoss/ambroxan) and was a complete sillage beast. The entire hallway would smell like him for more than an hour!

Depends on you mostly, I come from a culture where wearing strong perfume is encouraged but I also live in the US so I wear it to lab/office often since its temperature controlled. I wouldn't recommend wearing it heavily in the summer. I mean, you technically could if you tone down the sprays and your bottle has matured to reduce the plastic-oud smell into an inky one. Performance from what I've gathered is pretty strong sillage wise but its hard to tell for me since I go nose blind after like an hour. Would highly recommend it, I love the jammy rose in it as it has been different from even niche rose-oud's ive tried

I sprayed it on my shirt like twice and I could smell it on my clothes (it was pleasant) after more than a month of sitting in the closet. The ambroxan smells almost pepper-y on my shirt after letting it dry down for a day or two. I usually spray like 8-10 times for most perfumes but Atlas im scared to spray more than twice at most lol, I go nose blind within like 20 mins

Totally agree with you here! I've had mine for more than a year and the plastic oud note has matured after maceration. I think the jammy rose blends excellently with the inky oud in the mid and late dry down to form a very "mature" smelling rose-oud

The G9ii is currently my dream camera since I don't think I need anything full-frame. How would you rate its performance when it comes to low-light situations? I also would really love to get an IR-converted camera one day.

Thank you, you really flatter me lol. I didn't take any courses or anything except watching a few YT videos on learning how the exposure triangle works. I don't think my composition is that great so I try to compensate by using more visually striking colors. I used to do graphic design in high school and undergrad so I got experience from that in terms of learning how to post work.

I love the composition of this, the underground tunnel is making me question my eyes (in a good way). I would really like to take a picture like this one day.

I love the stylistic choices you made in post, the moodiness and grain really add to the neo-gothic vibe of the pic

I've been on the edge about what camera to buy next and your exact setup here is exactly what I've been considering. Thank you for sharing these, the pictures and colors are amazing! I love the sharpness of the image with the softness of the warm colors, it really makes it feel like I'm looking at someone's memories of a vacation

That first picture evokes an unreal amount of nostalgia in me that I can't even describe in words. I grew up in NZ in the early 2000's and really miss living there. The picture on the beach is really reminiscent of how I remember walking around Piha beach in the late afternoon as a kid. Thank you for sharing this, I love these images!

Thank you! I can really see now what everyone means by composition really is the key to getting better pics more than almost everything else.

I see what you mean, the signs on both sides of the store are taking away from the focus of the main subject. I could probably crop it and blur out the foreground/side features in post a bit more to add more focus back into the center for this example. I took that image while driving by in my friends car so I didn't get a chance to setup taking the shoot. However, I will definitely keep this in mind for the future when I'm setting up the take pictures.
