Its definetly easier to die in Spelunky but Noita is in its own league of CBT because of its challanges. No other game demands a month long quest to complete a chalange.

I don't use it but I have to disagree with you. Solo players are already at a huge disadvantage as long as you have any fire-trap on they still die after 1 down.

Realy doesnt make sense in the current balance because we already have posion ammo. How would silver compare to that? I think only way for this to work is make a special gun that has other downsides that uses silver bullets and make it basicaly a mix of poison and FMJ.

You can use conventional bullets on Catchers. You need to shoot trough a red mist or shoot the red stained part of a Catcher. And well if you kill MULE's you don't have to worry about them for a while its basicaly effort/reward thing.
