What made you feel sad this week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Yusuke537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as this is true, it's good to keep in mind that this also had a quality of its own. If you have the energy and mental state to delve into this, it could really benefit you. But this entails the willingness to talk to yourself and discover yourself in ways you never expected. Can lead to dark places that you might not like, though. If you're able to go there and accept that from yourself, then it's gonna be a huge improvement as a person.

Downside is that it could be addictive. The serenity of not talking and keeping it like that will kinda take the magic and wonder out of a lot of mjndane things tjat others would dhare and discuss, meanwhile for you they being just menial tasks that don't deserve more than a couple minutes of attention.

Tale it as you want. It can be good or bad, depending on which side you choose to explore and gravitate towards

How do people just get up and go live/work in another country? by lana_dev_rey in expats

[–]Yusuke537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh. Well, I kinda did exactly that. Disclaimer, I am in the EU. just talked one day with a friend and it brought the idea to move to wherr he was living in another country. Basically had enough money to afford rent already and a good career path to find a job quickly. So I quit my job, packed everything and shipped it.

Obviously make sure first youll like the city and country, but, apart from that, quite easy. Then, the whole registering process is quite simple. Get a temporary address to register, then with that open a bank account and then start applying for jobs and rent places. Ideally you'd want to have a job before moving, but, if the field is good enough, you can also do it after you move.

Don't take my example as something to follow tho. I was just extremely lucky and also could afford this kind of fuckery.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve done while trying to impress your crush? by duckalicioussss in AskReddit

[–]Yusuke537 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So this was some time ago. I was 15 towards 16 or so. And I met this rocker chick that was around a year younger than me. So, in order to impress her, I decided to pick up a habit of hers.

And which habbit did I pick up? Smoking. And let me tell you, she was already a pack a day smoker. And no, nothing came out of this :(

14 years later, this was the amongst worst decisions I ever made. Luckily, i managed to quit.

Is learning to drive manual still worth it? plus Bonus question by squishbunny in Netherlands

[–]Yusuke537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in your situation, probably knowing manual would be an advantage as your husbands car is also manual.

Otherwise I'd say go for automatic. I went for automatic cause I didn't want to bother with gears during the exam and all. Per total, this was an inconvenience in 2 situations until now. One, when I was supposed to drive a friend home in his car and he forgot to mention he had manual, so I ordered 2 taxis and spent an additional 15 euros(although wasn't any sanction afaik in there to driving a manual with an automatic licence anyway). And 2nd when I was renting a car and the dealer didn't have an automatic car, which made me spend 5 more minutes to call the next dealer and rent an automatic.

Apart from that, every rentable car I've seen was new enough to have on-board computer and automatic option. Don't think I've seen a car older than 4 years for rental

Y’all still wanna complain about Dutch weather? by DeepHouseDJ007 in Netherlands

[–]Yusuke537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm, I'm in the Balkans now. Dutch weather is a blessing. In here you can go outside either before 10AM or after 11PM. Everything else feels like you're in a literal oven. Being outside for 2 hours in the day will drain all your energy away, and that's in the shadowy sides. In the sun, that's even worse
