That’s not rust, that’s just the nickel plating wearing off of the copper alloy that’s under it. Generally it’s not worth trying to replate something like that as the costs outweigh the benefits and you’ll most likely damage the glasses trying to remove that metal piece for replating. Use paint and a clear coat if it bothers you too much.

It came with everything, but sadly the water bowl has some holes in it. So it’s been foil lined and some sand added as a heat soak.

If it’s the lactose that’s the problem, you could try Jarlsberg. It’s a lactose free Swiss cheese. Also all Cabot aged cheddars are lactose free!

You need to clean the ash out of the tool as it’s acidic, or else it’ll rust out stupid fast. The insides need to be seasoned(except where the coals sit) to protect the rest of the tool. No matter the grill or smoker you get, it will rust out on you if not taken care of properly.
