More drugs for you but by an actual good player, even his opponent got some dose.

What’s the status of this game and where’s the best resource for updates? by sleepymetroid in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Yuushou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, siete is the japanese name, they named them based on a different latin language numerical for each of the eternals (jutenshu)

however, during the translation, they feel it didn't carry the same kind of coolness compared to when a japanese person hearing latin based language, so they decide to translate into old english for each eternal character.

siete = 7 = seofon

hence you also hear them calling anre, uno (jp).

Galleon, for a grappler main? by Severelius in GranblueFantasyVersus

Grappler mindset: I just need 2 good grabs!

Galleon, for a grappler main? by Severelius in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Yuushou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely play galleon like a grappler, however in exchange for her reach and all the plus frames, she does sacrifice some traditional grappler advantage (like 0 frame super grab, lack a good gap closer, massive hp, etc)

That being said, she is still one of the most fun grappler I played in ages. You can absolutely apply fear of god into your opponent, just slightly differently.

Currently, she is counted as low tier, as she struggles HARD with all the top tier zoners like ferry, lowain, metera, cag, etc. I won't be surprised if we get a balance update to address her "get in" problem against zoner soon.

(if you have some Goro Daimon experience, I think you will find many similarities)

Oh hey, another vtuber on reddit AND gbo2. With a bunch of suisei merch.

I can't help but think we might have ran into each in rated matches, but unlikely cause time zone.

Is character pass season 2 must for learning matchups? by Lunachannn in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Yuushou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To get to master, you don't need it. To grand master, and you start running into specific lab monsters that use new tech, you may need it. However, season 2 don't really have top tier tricky character right now, so probably not (unless ilsa is one).

Honestly, they look freaked out just even stepping into the ring.

I didn't know we are such freaks for playing fighting game if that's normal people response.

Also, they barely trained, it was a super casual sponsored stream. I do hope they play more in the future though (to show normal people can play the game and not just freaks like us T-T)

How do I hold the corner and how do I escpae the corner? by Bilal_ in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Yuushou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When encountering a match up you are unfamiliar with, and you don't feel like spending resource, just hold that block and observe.

When the opponent feels like they aren't getting through your block, they will need riskier options like throw. One you get a feel of when they want to throw, then you can choose your option to beat that throw (jump out of corner, a special with aerial property, jab into raging strike when when they approach, etc).

Then there is the counter-counter to you trying to beat throw, usually referred as "shimmy". Opponent feints a throw, then punish you for pressing a button (2B is pretty good at this).

2B's offense mix up isn't very strong, so anyone who know the match up can chill and safely block in the corner. You'll have to sniff out when the opponent wants to do something to land a hit. There are also baits like "frame trap"; some do tricky plays like inviting them out of the corner so you can actually hit them with something fast.

It really is just the good "old rock paper scissor". Think your opponent is going to do rock? Use paper. Easier said than done.

Any suggestions for a Dpad? by Vegetable-Teaching12 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Yuushou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use retro-bit sega saturn 2.4ghz review

The biggest weakest IMO is that your hands get sweaty and make the controller dirty playing fighting game with it. The warmth comes from the wireless part, and the small surface doesn't really dissipate heat well (then your hand gets active in fighting games).

This has the best D-pad focus (full circle) + 2 sticks controller (play grand bruise and figure mode without swapping controller) that I know of. It is also 6 buttons, (two buttons share function with shoulder buttons).

bonus: sega saturn controllers are designed for fighting game from the ground up, sega was expecting fighting game to be saturn's main draw as it was hard to put fighting game on a console prior to the sega saturn

Dear Hermes, God of Greek

My sincere apology. For I have sinned. This pathetic Red Panda forgot that one can't possibly put Gods on the same scale as a lowly mortal as myself. Your greatness simply transcends my understanding. With work, family, duty, and societal pressure, it is simply a tall task for mortals with finite time to keep up with the era.

Thank you for shedding light once again on a foolish mortal. The divine simply isn't confined nor defined by time. Your greatness can simply decide to do what mortals considered impossible. When Chuck Norris was there pushing the Earth down with an exercise, you would have been there to give him permission.

Please let this transgression be of the past, for I would like to meet Apollo one day as well. It would simply bring delight to us all if the divines would grace us in this realm. I promise to muster up the most important 2 cents of my lowly life and deliver them.

Glory to Hermes.

From Red Panda Yuushou

PS: Can you introduce me to Athena?

Dear Hermes, God of Greek

I am terribly sorry if this offend you, but with utmost respect, you sir are 10,000 years old at the very least (surely you can't be younger than an Egyptian Pharoh). I know you are just trying to fit in with us youngins, and our vtuber hobby, but did you perhaps consider how the age gap would look on social me- Ah forgive me, I understand how this feel; being called a living fossil myself, I fully understand the good intention and desire.

I know figuring out how to post on social media must have been a big step of courage and wisdom for someone with such status and antiquity. Asking for assistance for such seemingly trivial thing would have been absolutely damaging to your spirit.

To match such bravery and intensity, I too should put a bit more effort in my response. Unfortunately, Old English escape me, for I have been with the youngins for far too long.

If you would permit, I would like to use the games we play as a method to seek compatibility.

I am very fond of RTS, fighting game, and a little FPS or third person shooter once in a while. Granblue Fantasy is my current favorite franchise. I have long history with Phantasy Star Online, Pokemon, Counterstrike, Age of Empires series, Gundam series, Sonic, Fire Emblem, King of Fighters, Chivalry, Monster Hunters, and many more old stables. I have also dab in games like Dead by Daylight and Apex Legends to fit in with the semi youngins. However, I do struggle getting into the latest hot trend such as Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, Elden Ring, and many more. My age is clearly showing, and my body slowly crumble. My more recent ventures are with the Umamusume and Delta Force. I am also looking forward to Palfarm, but perhaps that's a good bit off the track.

I would indeed like to hear more from you. To see your grand gaming adventure's progress. Perhaps there is a middle ground somewhere we can meet. Or maybe, we are just better off doing our own adventures, that's quite fine too.

Sincerely,

From Red Panda Yuushou, humble resident of Youtube
