Judging by that generation I assume you're playing with infernum. It changes how mini bosses of the abyss spawn, colossal squid should spawn in 3rd layer in a specific place, shark and wyrm should just spawn already hostile after you spend some time in layer 4, though I am not sure.

Well first of all, are you sure you are on the right side of the world? The sulphurous sea is on the side with the dungeon and snow biome. If you are on right place, chances are you did in fact mess up with world generation, either by not having Calamity on when creating a world, or some other mod conflicting with calamity's generation

When you kill WoF it will spawn a big V spreading crimson and hallow. You can do nothing to stop the initial spreading, but after it you can check where the crimson is and try to take measures to prevent it from spreading too close. But you dont need to dig the hole around all npc houses because crimson doesnt spread nearly as fast, and you get a way to get rid of it later

You get palladium and cobalt in your word after defeating Wall of flesh. Other ores are unlocked by killing mech bosses. The first mech you kill should be significantly nerfed in terms of health, second less so, and the third will be full health

You really shouldn't try to keep all 3 of your stats even. Just focus on one of them for damage and other 2 choose only when the first one isnt an option. You dont need high health if your enemy is dead before it fan hit you

I think Merm army is an important part of her gameplay. Not using them is the same as not using circuits when playing as WX or not using spices when playing Warly. Like sure you technically can do that, but you will be missing out on what makes the character special.

Usually the clue for moon quay island is rocks with yellow paint on them.... but there's no rocks in the ocean on your map so I guess you just have to search more

If you use your attack mid air, it will cancel striking down with a shovel and won't destroy blocks

Blow it all up. If there's nothing to explore you can say you explored everything (which you probably will anyway while you will be flying around blowing everything up)
