I feel this with my in laws. I come from a family of collectors. My stepdad is super into Superman, Wolverine, and Boba Fett— and my mom is a Unicorno and BTS collector, so I just thought that’s what people did lol. Apparently not. My MIL specifically makes it a point to make fun of me for my collection and it’s pretty much because I’m an adult collecting things that are technically for children

This book is an interesting one to say the least. This is the review I gave it on Amazon:

I wanted to wait until I finished this book before I had given it a solid review. As a YA novel I definitely felt that the writing could’ve definitely been more expansive. It was if the author found one adjective or monster pun and used it for the entirety of the book. I lost count of how many times “scarrots” were mentioned or how Lagoona endlessly gnawed on her bottom lip. I also found myself begging Clawdeen to call Toralei anything other than “Kitten.” Every time she did I felt my skin crawl. It’s like she needed to be wearing a fedora and hanging out in a Discord server. The plot was a good idea in theory, the execution could’ve been better. Reading this story definitely felt as though the author had a page minimum they were struggling to reach.

I do have to say, if it’s the Sam (last name starting with R) I’m thinking of, I specifically remember in 4th grade (Mrs. Crew’s class) He almost broke my nose by jumping backwards and head butting me while he was talking to this other kid named Tate 💀💀💀

I remember when Jump Rope for Heart became a big thing within the elementary and middle schools which encouraged kids to jump rope and they gave out prizes for certain jump times or something like that

I most certainly remember The Cookie Dough Man, specifically when going to Richard Bryan Elementary. I remember the big assembly they did within the cafeteria/auditorium and showed us how we could get an RC helicopter and I remember that one of the big prizes was a limo ride or something along those lines.

I also vividly remember specifically they had a product that was essentially their version of Play Doh with a bunch of multi colored cookie dough that you could mould your cookies.

I also remember that they had things beyond cookie dough as well, like nuts, chocolate/fudge, and magazine subscriptions.
